I don't think conservatives feel they did *nothing* wrong, I think we conservatives feel that Dog should not be handed over to the corrupt nation of Mexico where Dog will not get a fair trial, especially when the nation in question has an utter contempt for US soveriegnty. But how I want the case to turn out is a different question than whether the United States is WRONG to honor a legal and valid request for extradition hearings from a foreign government we have a treaty with. And whether it makes sense to suggest that the President of the United States is personally involved in picking up a 2-bit bounty jumper for the Mexican government because Fox has "something" on him, to name one bizarre conspiracy theory.

And Dog(Chapman) was granted a three year grace period for his jumping bail, and still did nothing to rectify the situation.

You don't obviously. Mexico doesn't give us any criminals if they may get the death penalty and most recently their supreme court said Mexico can't send us any of our criminals if they will get life in prison (Mexico doesn't allow for life in prison as a sentence for a crime.)

I notice you didn't even bother to read my entire point. There's a good reason for that: You can't refute it. Tancredo is totally inconsistent and the only thing that seems to be different is one thing is in Mexico and the other is in the US.

The point REMAINS, that saying 'we can't arrest Chapman because we have illegal immigration' is the EXACT same logic as saying 'We can't fight in Iraq because we have a war in Afghanistan'.

Which brings us back to my original point: Tancredo is inconsistent. The only thing that's changed is the fact that Mexico is now involved, and he doesn't seem to like Mexico very much. He applies one standard to Mexico, and another to everything else.
