I didn't know if there was a west coast version of this thread. It didn't make sense to post on a show that was almost over on the East Coast.
TOPICS: News/Current Events; War on Terror

You said -- "So critics of mild physical means of extracting information as a last resort in crunch time scenarios when an attack is impending, they're either a terrible hypocrit, or do not value human life. It's that simple."
The problem here is that I might see you smiling at me and think you have information about the next terrorist attack. Then I'm going to torture you until I get the answers I want, because I don't want my family killed.
And, of course, that would be completely legitimate, because you would certainly yield the information I wanted, because I wouldn't quit until you did.
Regards,
Star Traveler

Just finished watching Part 1 - very well done, I thought. I am about to watch the deleted scenes. I do feel that Clinton's face-time was reduced considerably. Still makes me mad.
There is, however, no doubt who the enemy is, and what they want.
Some great lines: "That's pathetic." and "The buck stops down the hall, is that it?"

actuallt I thought it was pretty slick - 24 - style and that the younger Jon Stewert crowd could maybe keep interest in it...
and the judge I thought did a great job of insulting Yusef....
Sure makes those cities look like they could use a little bombing....

Totally. Calling him a complete slob and a moron of sub-retard level intellect is putting it mildly. The idea that Clinton picked so many of the losers that he picked for his administration over the years, and then seriously expected to be taken serious, well it's just laughable. They're all silly little hippie generation hacks with no clue about the real world.

The BIG difference is that Bush, humbly, admitted that they made a mistake in not taking the threat more seriously, however, it was Clinton's mistake, IMHO, in not being more emphatic in their warning regarding the threat. For all we know, Clinton left a Post-It note on the desk in the Oval Office.
Remember, President Bush did not take office under optimal conditions. I'm certain Clinton was not really forthcoming regarding all the hot button issues on the immediate agenda. Anything to make Bush look bad.

My thoughts exactly. All the people complaining about the RINOs in the Senate and all the problems they've caused, NONE of them will vote for Giuliani over a REAL conservative who's just as strong on the war as Giuliani is, AND is also strong conservative on social issues like Giuliani ISN'T. No real conservative will vote for Giuliani, which is lib-lite, over a real conservative like Huckabee or Tancredo or Allen or Romney or even Gingrich in the primaries. Not going to happen. The war is the most mportant issue, but it's not the only issue, and Giuliani disagrees with the conservative base on over half the GOP plank. That says it all.

I know, it's just starting to grate with me a little, ya know? :) I want a REAL conservative. Not a RINO. The Rudy crush is starting to get old. He's no Conservative. Not even close. Sorry, it's just starting to annoy me. :) Didn't mean to sound like a grump. :)
