Khatami, U.S.-Iran Relations National Cathedral Washington, District of Columbia (United States) ID: 194190 - 09/07/2006 -
Former Iranian President Khatami spoke to reporters in the National Cathedral. Later in the day he made an address in the cathedral.
My email to cspan:
Programming Selectors:
When I saw that you are airing a speech (twice) given today by the former president of Iran and not airing a gravely important speech given today by the President of the United States I wept. I could not believe that you could be this partisan. President Bush is the leader of our entire country, not the Republican voters of our country. He is trying to explain to all the American people what the plans of the Commander-in-Chief are to fight forces who want to cripple our country.
Why do you willfully decide to keep the President's words from us?
You have a blurb on your home page asking your viewers to become active in supporting CSPAN. I have very nasty thoughts when I see that.
who controls access to this cathedral - how did he get in?
This is an Islamic PsyOp. Khatami just proved to 1.2 billion Muslim's that the great Satan's "National Christian Church" can be 'defiled' by the servants of Allah. You know they'd NEVER allow this in Qom or Mecca. The horror!
I wonder if Khatami knows how few real church-going Christians there actually are in this country these days? Being misunderstood by our enemies is a perpetual American advantage.
"The official name of the National Cathedral is Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It's an Episcopal church, but all faiths are welcomed here." - Tom
Unfortunately I attended Sunday services at this "church". It is Episcopalian and I was subjected to an anti-war, anti-Bush sermon. It was disgusting. I will NEVER go back. I could see the Episcopalian "priest" standing beside this creep. I am outraged.
