I had a friend who passed away a few years ago. He was a died inteh wool new deal dem. He served in WW2, got out joined a union and worked in the plants his whole life. He was even a union shop steward. He voted in his first election 1940 and his last 1994. After that he could no longer stomach the rat party. He told me this once, "Son, if your family does not make at least $250K you have no business voting republican, but now days if you are a Christian you have no business voting democrat either."
Separation of church and state. Applies to everyone else.
Let them squeal away about peace on earth and reducing poverty while they help the Anti-American leftists destroy one of few truly generous places on earth where they can practice their faith freely and peacefully.
Yea....I wanna be a Christian Dem about as much as I want to be thrown from a bell tower.
Take a hike "faithful" D's.
I agree with you. Some of them are sincere. To some degree, Catholic Church also has ideal about social justice that is many Democrats share, as well as anti death-penalty. They're, however, also against things that most Democrats embrace, such as abortion, gay marriage, freedom from religion, and so on. These things really turn them off (and Christians in general) that at the end they prefer Republican.
Ooopss... social justice that many Democrats share...
Time to infiltrate and make sure the scriptures aren't twisted to fit their agenda.
In fact, I think much of the Bush hatred by the left derives from his open Christianity.
Your friend was quite wise. I think the $250,000 level is a bit high, but certainly anyone with considerable assets and net worth would be more likely to be a Republican.
You mean the party that still wants to bring abortion and abortifacients within the reach of every woman and teenage girl, all around the world?
Those guys?
You mean the party that wants husbands to be able to kill their mysteriously brain damaged wives (and presumably vice versa, I suppose) though judicial decision?
Those guys?
Christian?
Huh.
--Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life) - Pope John Paul II
First he says: "So our site is explicitly a Christian community. It is explicitly a Democratic community." then he says: "The truth is God cannot be held hostage by a political party. And American Christians should not be, either."
Then why is this a Democratic site instead of a nonpartisan site? Typical democrat, says one thing but contradicts with his actions.
The Federal government is also an armed church and not too unlike the Catholic church of the medieval ages.
The Federal religion operates on a system of faith that promotes the idea of itself as the Supreme Power, rather than God. It teaches that the ultimate solution to lifes problems come from faith in the Federal church.
The social agenda is taken purely on faith since their is no evidence that their programs actually solve the problems they are attacking. Thus it is dogma.
They promote a creed, a system of beliefs, against which you are ostracized if you commit "blasphemy", as defined by the doctrine of political correctness.
It has other social and moral doctrines that are aggressively promoted throughout the society.
They force industry to comply with their moral values.
They force academia, public schools to indoctrinate the children to their moral values.
They dispense alms to the poor.
They force tithing for the social programs (which are not Constitutionaly mandated).
They build huge elaborate, very expensive cathedrals (federal courthouses), and churches (welfare offices, etc etc)
Religion:1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies (unless atheistic as is the federal government), usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.
3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions.
4. the life or state of a monk, nun, etc.: to enter religion.
5. the practice of religious beliefs; ritual observance of faith.
6. something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience: to make a religion of fighting prejudice.
I often wounder if they have their own "bible".
Job 15:5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
Job 15:6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
Ditto
The revvvveeerreennnnddd Jackson did speak out on abortion 1 time in the later 70's, he was ostracized for it and later went on to support gay marriage.
There mind has not seen, nor the politician uttered a "wedge issue" that is verbal hokum. Politics is all about issues, and trying to bridge those issues, the Democratic party doesn't try to bride anything there too busy with "racist, bigoted, homophobes" mantras.
Any "Christian" who votes for democrats - who support abortion and euthanasia - cannot be classified as a Christian in my book.
Jesus stood for life .. the democrats stand for death - unless of course it's some criminal who killed a police officer.

You are absolutely 100% correct.
