I worked for the Elders Group in Canada when CUB and Molson stitched up their deal whereby Molson would brew Fosters in Canada for the North American market.
At the time (mid 80's) they figured the Molson "Fosters" was better than the CUB "Fosters", so the Ozzies sent their brewers to Canada to learn how it was done...
...or so the story goes.
We get the Ozzie Fosters here in New Zealand: nice drop -- I'm enjoying one right now.
