If there is another attack on the scale of 9/11, and I believe there will be, it will not result in a stiffening of American spines, much less enlightenment about the nature of Islam.

I believe Americans are made of tougher stuff than that.

All over the western world, there has been a slow but discernable shift to the right in politics. Just as in WWII, it took time for the world to awaken to the threat. It is happening again and just as slowly...but the world is awakening to the need to fight the dangerous element of islam.

There is some room for hope but I don't see much for those in Europe where the population trend in their midst will produce an even louder cry for sharia imposed on the host governments who can not sustain their populations as families grow smaller in the highly taxed socialist model.

In the US, even those who have been fed a bunch of appeasement nonsense from the leftists have begun to see for themselves. The recognition of the obvious threat will become more apparent and the whine of the left will become just another part of the hysterical cries as it always has in the past.
