Centanni has said their conversion was forced at gunpoint.

On the day of Centanni's and Wiig's release, their captors delivered a video showing the two men in Arab robes reading from the Koran to indicate their conversion to Islam.

Centanni has said their conversion was forced at gunpoint.

Apparently, even though there isn't a gun anymore, Wiig is still under that "islamic" influence. Why else would one defend the actions of their "captors"?

I doubt it is an unconscious Stockholm Syndrome, rather a deliberate statement they know will also be received by those living in this region. But I'm not them, I can't read their mind, and I don't even work in journalism. So this is purely the opinion of a layperson.

The only thing missing in this entire episode is the US government and it's reaction to this outrage.

I know they refused to "negotiate" with the kidnappers, but couldn't they at least have said a few words afterwards condemning this farce? It's hard to believe they were completely missing in this saga and the FOX news staff and Mrs. Wiig pulled the whole thing off themselves.
