No, the commentator who wrote the 'analysis' part of this is just copying and pasting MSM spin on a word processor. There are Democrats who are more supportive of GWB's policies than Lincoln Chaffage.

There are Democrats who are more supportive of GWB's policies than Lincoln Chaffage. You can probably name less than 100 dem politicians nationwide and the democrat opponent in RI will not be on that list.

It also shows the writers ignorance or blatant disregard for Chaffee's record. Also for him/her to think that all readers would buy such a line shows both ignorance and arrogance.

Laffey has called for Rumsfield to resign, but from the right, not from the left. That could be what they are talking about. Chafee responded that Sec of Defense is Bush's business and he keeps whomever he wants there.
