You've never lived in England. All those can be true there. It is often heavily overcast with intermittant rain with an occasional break in the clouds that lets bright sun through for a few minutes. The lights can be on in the day because of that cloud cover. Even though it ay be late spring, with flowers in full bloom, it can still be cold enough to need a fire in the fireplace (and some people still use an AGA combined cook stove/central heating).
Maybe it's the water heater? (just joking)

The owner of the house probably drives a Canyonero (top of the line in utility sports, unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!)

No, I don't own a single Kincaide painting, but I think I did give someone a calendar for Christmas once, before these galleries started popping up. But that was probably me just falling for his "using religion for a questionable commercial purpose" and all.
Oh so what. I never got his paintings...but others loved it. So now, that he's out of vogue, everyone is going to pile on? Whatever happened to his Kincaid communities? They were actually building master planned communities based on his paintings... One day we will look back at the late 1990's and just shake our heads in amazement.
Do you mean the farmhouse within 30 feet of the church, which is within 25 feet of the little red schoolhouse, all within 10 feet of the cute little stream which would flood them all after a good spring thunderstorm?

The local shop here closed down. It was logical to do that because they weren't selling paintings.
They lack art as well. Anyone who buys a print from a painting (for a lot of $$) and hangs it on a wall and thinks that it is "valuable art", is mistaken (and has been taken).

And what's with that trellis stuck in the middle of nowhere with one spindly plant on each side,a trellis like that would be overgrown.
Maybe it's my monitor but I don't see smoke exiting that chimney.
You're right about middle of the day(light), walkway light, and interior light. I guess that's his artistic license to demonstrate the "Painter of Light" thing.
