Wasn't Bill Clinton running for Congress by the time he was 27? They make this man sound like he is still in High School.

Its simple, the defense will get its ass handed to themselves by this kid er guy.If he had a Phd or was part of some faculty then I would be worried. Thank God he is free from both.

"Prosecutors want Kohlmann — who started his own terror-related Web site and wrote a book about al-Qaida by age 25 — to explain the complex world of Islamic terrorism to jurors at a Miami trial of an alleged terror cell."

Interesting -- PING.

Do you happen to have more info on this guy?

I've read Kohlmann's book "Al-Qaida’s Jihad in Europe: the Afghan-Bosnian network" and he sure knows his terrorism. The book was extremely thorough and well researched. A wealth of information.

He may be "only" 27 but I can understand why the defense doesn't want him to testify. I hope they (the defense) don't get their way.

Lemme guess...he's "an alarmist", right?

And he thinks we should REALLY go after the bad guys...?

He does sound a bit thin on credentials. That does not mean he doesn't know his stuff, but without current or former security clearances of some sort, there must be a mountain of data he has never seen.

I don't guess he's more or less qualified than the endless parade of infobabes Foxnews has on constantly to comment on politics, the economy, terrorism, culture, etc etc.

I have seen him a lot on Fox and he impresses the heck out of me...

Of course I am ignorant enough not to know if he is "right" or not.

Sounds like the pre-loss sour grapes by the defense attorneys to me.

The guy has skills and should use them, but for where he is needed they requires a college degree to do the same job that enlisted folks do (Analyze).

My experience with the degree analysts have been mixed, most of them couldn't tell their butt from a hole in the ground.

As for the defense lawyers, they are just like career politicians and journalists; Clueless.

Sounds like they're scared of him -- I would be too if I were supposedly educated with a degree and some average joe could out think me. Most liberals feel the same way.

He has no Ph.D., no faculty position

I'd say those are two points in his favor.

He has no Ph.D., no faculty position and he's no lawyer.

Sounds like an outstanding citizen to be chosen as a Supreme Court Judge.

NOT joking either. Those who fit the scum trial lawyers ideal should all be hanged by the .... if they had any that is.

I've seen this guy interviewed on cable news shows as well and he seemed to be credible and quite intelligent.
