BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan Coalition forces engaged Taliban leadership with joint fires, killing a known Taliban commander and 15 other militants on Aug. 25 in the central Khod Valley of Uruzgan Province.
The Taliban commander and his associates were involved in conducting attacks against the Afghan people and against Afghan, ISAF and Coalition forces.
There were no injuries to civilians during the operation.
Coalition forces used deliberate measures to limit the chances of property damage, and due to the precision of the air strike, no damage was reported to a mosque located adjacent to the militants safe house.
Coalition forces are actively and aggressively extending the security and the reach of the Afghan Government, said Lt. Col. Paul Fitzpatrick, Combined Joint Task Force - 76 spokesperson. Through tireless efforts, we continue to pursue terrorists and their leaders in making Afghanistan safer.
"Resurgent" Taliban ping.
Looks like the Pakistani border area is no longer a relatively safe haven. Probably across the border is a bit hazardous for the terrorists. Good going troops.
Must have been a bad day killed only 16.
Exterminating roaches is a constant battle. Go ORKIN men.
"Pinchy the Quisling Poofer". Gotta be a song in that.
Yep. We've killed about a thousand of the bastards in the last couple of months. Good hunting.
An insult to reaches everywhere.
ROFL. Gotta get Doug on that
I wonder if the MSM will bother to air it?
reaches = roaches. oops
Of course not. They never have and never do. When have you EVER read a story about any of the 1000s of projects we have completed in the reconstruction of Iraq?
Afghanistan: 96 dead, 80 deserted the Taliban and joined the government.
Iraq: 101 enemy dead. That's 277 out of the order of battle in less than a week.
Somebody set em up the bomb!
Looks interesting, but how many people would understand it?
LOL. that is why we rely on you, to make the complex evil crystal clear. ;o)
You've got your ear to the ground. Keep up the good work.
Must of had someone bring in a kiddie porn video so they all gathered in one room.
You're looking at over 8,000 per month (or three and a half months' supply left) and, if you include wounded of the 197 (which is easily four per dead guy), you are looking at 400 wounded in five days, times 30, equals 12,000. Ok, so some of the wounded get back to the battlefield. This is a downward slope that cannot be sustained, period.
Well, they tend to hibernate more during the winter, but I get your point.
The ONLY way we lose is if the leftists in our country gain control, and we cannot allow that to happen.
