Port Orford Ocean Resource Team and US Coast Guard Auxiliary Commercial Fishing Vessel Examiners have met and have launched a Voluntary Port Orford Commercial Fishing Vessel Safety program for Documented and State Registered Vessels engaged in commercial fishing operating out of Port Orford.

The goal is 100% Voluntary courtesy fishing vessel safety dockside exams

The free exam is done as a service and is not a law enforcement exam. Vessels found to have all of the required equipment are issued a decal. Boat owners, skippers and crews are encouraged to utilize the information, online, at http://CFVSEA.com as a reference for commercial fishing safety.
