I am suprised ( or not) at attempts by the MSM to keep pushing this lame newsstory in the limelight for as long as they can.

But perhaps if Allen had just brushed it aside as a misunderstanding and moved on and told the Indian student to pss off, the story would have moved on by now .

It is disappointing to see Allen's wimpishness in this incident, hope this does not affect his poll ratings. He is definetly not Presidential material.

Whatever. This kid was following him around with a camera for his opponent's campaign. I could see how that could get annoying. In context, the "real world of Virginia" wasn't a reference to his race or nationality, it was a reference to Allen's earlier comments about Webb campaigning in Hollywood. As usual this story is 99% phony indignation and lib media hype.

Yes, but of course you have to factor in the fact that journalism has a field day with the story for a long time, whereas Hillary can say much worse things and have the media turn into a black hole instead of an amplifier.

Generally the worst damage occurs when people appologize. For example, the infamous "Sixteen words" about British intelligence, Saddam's Iraq, and yellowcake from Africa. That statement was and still is exactly true as Bush made it - but when the WH appologized for it that made it "false." Even "a lie." That is why it takes a sharp cookie like Reagan to handle that sort of situation. Or maybe Tony Snow . . .

Funny how there was zero coverage of Biden's Gandhi and convenience store lines. You gotta love the loyalty of the Democratic media.

George Allen is a dumbass. Making fun of somebody's appearance when that person has a video camera running is stupid enough.

Doing so while attempting to run for President is D*U*M*B.

If you don't think making fun of someone's physical appearance is going to keep you from being elected President -- ask your mama.

If Allen was trying to demean the guy's race he would have called him "Apu" or "Punjab" or something. Anyway, the Dems own pet moron Joe Biden made a much more insulting remark about Indians a few weeks ago.

Actually, the Gandhi line was Hillary's, also a member of the protected class.

Dumbass? For supposedly commenting on someone's appearance.

Wow.. the thought Liberal police is in full flow here.

The only misstep Allen may have made is the apology, he should have just told the kid to move on.

The Left seems very, very afraid of George Allen.

It's Standard Operating Procedure to have somebody follow you around and videotape every campaign appearance, for exactly like this. So if this annoys Allen, then he really shouldn't run for public office.

Allen has at least one guy following Webb around

We have got to cut Allen off, Indians who migrate to America are f*cking smart, hard working and socially conservative. They should be natural Republicans, this good-ole-boy-wannabe Allen is screwing the republicans over.

Yeah, Biden says something truly offensive and...nothing, not a word. This incident is damning. The media is nothing but a pimp for the DNC.

There's supposed to be a Rasmussen poll out on the race later today.

You can't tell the Rudy worshipers on FR from the MSM. They have really jumped on Allen's mistake and eaten him alive.

Apologizing doesn't mean that he is a wimp at all. He should just be more careful, although it really doesn't matter what he says, someone will crucify him, just because.

There is no Reagan, so we just have to go with what we have and make the best of it!
