Just breaking on KUSA-TV in Denver that the suspect arrested today in the case matches the DNA at the crime scene. Nothing on the web yet...

"Apparently this guy was taunting her months before her death with nasty stories about her daughter's death."

Really? What a sick-o. I read a lot of murder mysteries and police stories and real life is getting toooo much like what you find in novels these days.

I can't believe the level of depravity out there. Though, sick-os have always been with us, we just didn't read/hear of them as much or have all of the psychological profiling we have today. *SHIVER*

Wow. The more I read about this, the more I'm convinced that the investigators really dropped the ball, through their own incompetence or due to the Ramsey's lawyers and PR people thwarting them.

What a screwed up mess. Wonder how many other little kids this animal has killed in the past decade? The only good thing is that these creeps usually get caught because their warped egos (BTK Killer?) can't stand them not getting "credit" where it's due for doing these sick things.

My comment referred to the FACT that even Fox News gets it wrong sometimes.

And for the record, he has been returned to the US, and has stated that he did, in fact, kill her. He says he was "in love with her" and that it was an "accident."

I know how this must hurt you and some of the other Ramsey-haters to have to admit that they were totally innocent, but this guy did it, and admits it. The dna tests have already been run (this has been in the works for months).

Get over it.

A relative of the Ramseys was just on F&F on Fox this morning. She said a policeman told her that "it's always the parents" when something like this happens. With that mindset, is it any wonder they tried to use a sledgehammer to make the puzzle pieces fit together?

He hasn't been returned to the US yet. He gave his remarks in Thailand.

But someone on the 24/7 networks said his remarks can be used if he goes to trial.

It didn't happen that way. Boulder got a new DA, who decided to look at the case again. She did a REAL investigation, and they're saying that around a month before Patsy died, they told her they were zeroing in on someone--and right now it looks like it's the right someone this time. So it's not "bam, she dies, and they get a new suspect." It's been in the works for quite awhile.

My 13 year old daughter looked up at the tv when Pam Paugh, Patsy Ramsey's sister, was being interviewed by Fox & Friends.

She yelled out that she is a teacher at her school. I've seen this woman before at the school and never knew she was connected to the Jonbenet Ramsey case. Very eerie

"Someone owes something to the Ramseys...big time."

Yes indeed. And frankly, I think they should tack something else onto this guy's sentence for allowing all the suspicion to be focused on the Ramseys, especially on Patsy, for all these years.

Here's the deal. If you don't like a topic, nothing forces you to read it (unless your mouse is broken and only clicks on topics you don't like?). And likewise, nothing forces you to stay on the thread once you've discovered it's not a topic you like.

That is, unless you're just trying to start a flame war.

So the DNA is a confirmed match? I was given the impression on GMA this morning that was not yet the case.

While, obviously, the Ramseys are due for an apology, it does not answer the nagging questions left behind, specifically, what about the ransom note? Why did the Ramseys call their lawyer first when finding Jon Benet's body? Why was their behavior so unlike that of grieving parents?

The answers to those questions we may never know.

This test was likely done well before the announcement, while the guy was in jail in Thailand. They had plenty of time to do the test before they brought him back. He is now freely admitting he did it, although he's claiming it was an accident. (This creep claims he was in love with her.)

I'm still hearing he was in a Thai prison for an unrelated sex crime too. (Just moments ago on Fox--and yes, they get it wrong sometimes too, so we'll have to wait and see if that part is correct.)

Wow, strange. The sister didn't say a whole lot, and apparently hadn't seen the footage yet that Fox had been showing. I think his comments took her by surprise.

I'm thinking it's a darned good thing they DID hire lawyers, since the police were determined to railroad them.

Wow, I thought they said he was here already. Regardless, he's admitted it.

Get over it.

According to news reports last evening the alleged perp was still in Thailand, not expected to return to the U.S. until sometime this weekend. Further no DNA has been run, at least not yet ... the suspect has admitted to the crime and in his e-mail exchanges with Patsy Ramsey seemed to have knowledge that only someone involved would have ... thus his apprehension by authorities. However, his former wife states emphatically that it would have been impossible for him to be in Boulder the Xmas of 1996 ... since he was with his family ... no where near Boulder.
To state that I'm a Ramsey hater is total BS on your part ... which pretty much covers the content of your posts in general.

Beauty pagents are traditional in the south. The girls mother and grandmother were beauty queens. It begins with little girl pagents. My own mother was in pagents. It means nothing.

Girls dressing in clothing that reveals most of their body - and then going to bars and getting falling down drunk is a college tradition.

It doesn't mean they deserve to be raped or robbed in or just outside the bar. It does mean they have presented themselves as a target to thugs who are looking.

Another theory to throw out there....Some have speculated that the perp looks ill/dying (we'll know soon). Are the Ramsey's well off enough to pay off a guy to admit to the murder? (the perp receives the money and passes it on to someone he cares???) The ex-wife's alibi statement doesn't make sense...The DNA match? Will wait to hear more on that..The Ramsey's know the details of this investigation and could pass it on to this person - hence the knowledge displayed by the perp.

The Boulder Police desperately want this case to be over and solved - hope they are investigating this better than we are....

Ok...taking tin foil off...
