There is no guarantee a independent Joe Lieberman would not flip flop on his views once he is elected again. He has dont it before, imagine this.. newly independent elected Senator Joe Lieberman calls for Rumsfeld resignation for his handling of the iraq war. A ultra lib like Joe is most certainly ain't no Zell miller.


Allowing Joe to portray himself as a centrist with GOP help will allow a whole lot of dems associated with Lieberman to define themselves as centrist, considering the next Presidential election , it is not worth it for the republicans to get behind his candidacy.

1) Joe is solid on the WoT and, since he was NOT willing to flip to get re-elected as a RAT, will not change his view after re-election as an Indy.

2) No one is portraying Joe as a Centrist. He is accurately being portrayed as a Non Nutball. Big difference.

I do not want to see an official endorsement just votes for him because of his disruption of the enemy and support of the President.
