No he was not banned. The UK was constantly being insulted and he got tired of it. Go to his homepage, he explained it.

I miss Mad and hope he is lurking here.

MadIvan wasn't banned, he left for reasons described on his FR Home page.

I hope he comes back someday. Most Freepers enjoy his point of view.
