Here's a scenario I've not heard yet.
Assume in Nov:
Joe wins as Indy. Gov Rell easily sails to reelection as GOP gov. GOP retains control of congress.
Joe gets offered job by Bush in some capacity on the war. Joe accepts (what's he leaving behind?). Rell replaces Joe with GOP senator.
Discuss.
Miller/Lieberman 08'???? Nahhhhhh. Never happen!
Let him split the 'rat vote and give us this opportunity.

Can I ask a question of our CT based freepers?
I know the media is trying to make this a war issue but could this be an energy issue?
Didn't Liberman vote to not drill in ANWAR?
The media is playing the Lieberman loss as a mandate against the war. Personally I hated to see him lose to the moonbat crowd but he is going to be a great unintentional ally.
We managed to get rid of our RINO here in the Michigan 7th district. No drilling, pro amnesty Joe is gone gone gone.
If the conservative base doesn't show up and vote this fall, the democrats will win control of the congress and try to impeach the President and Vice-President. My hope is that republicans keep at least 45 seats in the senate to kill the socialists power grab. And prevent Nacy Pelosi from becoming President.
Senator Liberman's seat is important in all this. So I hope Karl Rove and the gang look at the poll numbers and see if it's advantageous to have a 3 way race or back Liberman.
Something needs fixing.
Democratic Moonbat Voters in Connecticut rejected three-term Sen. Joe Lieberman for a political newcomer in the nation's first major test of the depth of Democratic Moonbat anger over the Iraq war.
Much more betterer now.
Joe, your "party" is dead. You are a liberal, but not a socialist. The RAT Party has become the socialist party...Americans need not apply.
Air America's Jerry Springer and all his dufus callers are in absolute meltdown over Joe running as an independent. "He's not following the rules," "what will we tell our children?", blah, blah, blah. It's hilarious.
Alan Schlesinger, former mayor of Derby, CT. Here's some recent news about him:

In Connecticut, Bombshell Hits Schlesinger Campaign
The Hartford Courant sent a bunker bomb in to Connecticut Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Alan Schlesingers flagging campaign today with revelations that the former legislator was successfully sued for thousands of dollars in casino debts he ran up in Atlantic City venues. Schlesingers campaign was rocked last week by the news that, among other things, he had gambled in a Connecticut Indian casino under an assumed name, Alan Gold. His luck will have run out now.
Word of his gambling debts will renew calls for Schlesinger to abandon his tattered candidacy...
Hardly a viable GOP candidate, IMHO...
