Aha. little liberalist socialist freak journalists fabricating the News yet again. Soon no one will be buying their newspapers.

I do not, and invest the money in icecream instead.

Ain't suggesting anything, just want to understand the sleuthing required to piece all this together... but how do we know that the 'photo kill' graphic isn't a fake?

Is - http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/afp/20060806/capt.sge.cfo60.060806160927.photo06.photo.default-512x341.jpg - the native Yahoo/Reuters location for their published pics, or someone else's storage space?

I have an obvious question: WHY THE BLEEPING BLANK DOES IT TAKE BLOGGERS OR INTERNET POSTERS TO DISCOVER THIS FRAUD AND POINT IT OUT?

Sorry for screaming, but I'm furious. The is the "great" Reuters, for cripes sake. The great, unbiased newswire service. Sending out fake photos to the world.

The next time some so-called journalist on TV or in the print media tries to mock the Internet, I'm going to projectile vomit. Hey print "journalists," hey ABC, NBC, CBS, et al., hey AP and Reuters, the Internet is the only place true investigative journalism takes place these days.

If that kill hour is correct, Reuters is saying they killed the photo at 4am PST on Saturday, well before bloggers began raising questions about it. Did they get the wrong date on the kill time, or have we spent an inordinate amount of energy chasing something they caught on their own somewhere before dawn on Saturday?

Smoke is apparently symbolic...maybe the picture is supposed to have more meaning to moslems than to us and would explain why someone would want to enhance the smoke.....

Huzafa narrates that Mohammed (pboh) said: "Qiyamah will not come till you see ten signs, which are: Smoke which spreads throughout the East and West for forty days;

http://www.rexresearch.com/prophist/phf5mos.htm

Mark of the Beast

In the text, Signs of Qiyamah, Muhammad Ali Ibn Zubair Ali states that after the arrival of the Enlightened One, Imam Mahdi, "the ground will cave in, fog or smoke will cover the skies for forty days (ayah). A night three nights long will follow the fog. After the night of three nights, the sun will rise in the west. The Beast of Earth shall emerge. The beast will talk to people and mark the faces of people. A breeze from the south shall cause sores in the armpits of Muslims which they will die from. The Qur'an will be lifted from the hearts of the people."

Afterwards, the Imam "... will create a world state ... He will teach you simple living and high thinking. With such a start he will establish an empire of Allah in this world. He will be the final demonstration and proof of Allah's merciful wish to acquaint man with the right ways of life."

More suspicious photos.

This is from:

Drinking From Home

Extreme Makeover - Beirut Edition
Either this woman is the unluckiest multiple home-owner in Beirut, or something isn't quite right.

A Lebanese woman wails after looking at the wreckage of her apartment, in a building, that was demolished by the Israeli attacks in southern Beirut July 22, 2006. REUTERS/Issam Kobeisi (from Yahoo News)

A Lebanese woman reacts at the destruction after she came to inspect her house in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, after Israeli warplanes repeatedly bombed the area overnight.(AP Photo/Hussein Malla) (from Yahoo News)

Same clothes, same scar on her left cheek, same mark under her right eye. Two pictures of the same woman, maybe even taken on the same day. So, what gives?

Next, we have the latest from:

EU Referendum The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth

Which contains a whole new set of images of Green Helmet yesterday (Aug 6) in Tyre at what

Reuters called "Israeli rocket kills two, bombs pin down aid groups"

I'm wondering about this pic here. The pants look dirty and bloodstained, which would make sense. But the kid's hair, T-shirt, and skin look pretty darn clean for somebody who was pulled out from under building rubble, especially when you compare it to other victim pics. I'm supposed to believe that this kid wouldn't have concrete dust in her hair and skin that has a shine like she's just out of the bathtub? If I'm wrong here, talk to me.

Photo caption reads: A Lebanese rescuer carries the body of a young girl recovered from under the rubble of a demolished building that was struck by Israeli warplane missiles at the village of Qana, near the southern city of Tyre, Lebanon, Sunday, July 30, 2006. The Associated Press and two other news agencies on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006,rejected challenges to the veracity of photographs of bodies taken in the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, strongly denying that the images were staged.
