Many are, but I'm one of those strange people who try and prepare for all possibilities. I usually go overboard.
My neighbor doesn't do anything except close the front door. Most of the time he is OK, last year he regretted it.
Only about 10% of my neighbors have generators, but most do prepare to be with out power for a week or so. We are just a bit more comfortable if it happens.
My wife and I have it down now. We can stay home for a month and never have to get out if needed.

In fact it was 98 at around 2100, so probably mid to low 90's now.

It seems I may have stolen that temp "contest" yesterday; it was 122 on a guy's thermometer outside his trailer, but official was 111.

I used to have sneakers like Mr Reese's there, they were cool!

SOS isn't near as bad if ya use hamburger meat. In my early 20's I found lot's of ways to eat cheap when I went out on my own!
