Actually, I think it might be easy to lose weight in the WH. I'm old enough to remember when Jackie Kennedy was there. She once said that she maintained her weight by having the chef give her a lobster tail, a few asparagus sprigs and one glass of wine for lunch.

Well, if I could have a lunch like that delivered every day, I'd have no problem losing weight. :-)

I suppose............it's probably a long way down there if you have a hankering to raid the refrigerator in the middle of the night. :)

btw, keeping weight off at Jackie's age is a WHOLE lot easier than keeping it off at Laura's age!)

In a way I agree because everything you eat is regulated and specially prepared special diet would not be a problem.

The problem arises I suspect when you have to attend official dinners outside Washington.
