You know, I don't think I would support McCain for President. And he is a RINO. But, I think that despite that, he's a fine man. And he's raised (and is raising) a fine family. And he is a patriotic and strong supporter of America and the free world.

So, despite my many disagreements with him on policy issues, I want to say G-d bless John McCain.

In the meantime, I know 3 families personally, and others through word-of-mouth by acquaintance, who are sending their sons to war.

McCain's son should not be used for political purpose..he is doing what any young patriot should..and many HAVE.

McCains son serving does not make McCain a better..uh, politician..panderer..I don't know.

I wouldn't touch his DI's job with a ten foot pole. Walking around on eggshells just waiting for McCain's temper to blow up over some trivial mishap.
That said, I wish his Son the best of luck in his Marine Corps adventure.

I appreciate John McCain's military service to our country. It was extraordinary. However, that doesn't excuse the terrible decisions he has made in the US Senate. He was a war hero but that shouldn't give him a free pass to the White House.

McCain is a Log Cabin Republican. Political Funding set up by David Mixner. David B. Mixner was a former adviser to President Clinton on gay issues. And one of the leading members of the Vietnam AntiWar activists.

In the world of campaign financing, $40,000 is pocket change. But for Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign, that amount is significant because of its source: the Log Cabin Republicans. Members of the gay GOP group made the contributions to the Arizona senator's campaign after McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, addressed them via a satellite hookup simultaneously in seven cities on December 14. Despite his support for "don't ask, don't tell" and his opposition to gay marriage, McCain has been the favored Log Cabin candidate ever since he met with the group in November and supported their inclusion in the patty. By contrast, Texas governor George W. Bush, the presumed GOP presidential front-runner, has said he sees no reason to meet with Log Cabin members.
