I wouldn't trust the media's accuracy on gun reporting. Remember the DC sniper shootings, when they referred to the .223 round as "very high powered?"
Wonder how "large" this one is.

The large caliber gun was stated at the news conference by the police chief. They said he laid his hand gun on the floor before going outside to turn himself in.
I am interested to know what it was.
