That's no hate crime. It was a radical Muslim, a majority in his "religion" taking on the robe of Jihad and striking at the Jews in support of his Hezbollah brothers in Lebanon. This was terrorism against civilians at a religious site. Terrorism. It would have been a hate crime if the guy painted a swastika or "death to Israel" on the building, or assaulted the women or something like that. THIS was terrorism. One woman dead, several others wounded. Terrorism.
