Appreciate your efforts at the correction in deeming antisemetism here. At the same time, I would not subscribe that one's faith in a common future, be it in Judaism or Christianity is disrespectful to either.

I think Pope John Paul the Great is a perfect illustration of such.

Additionally, it is folly to foster a political result as the basis for such voting patterns between the two major parties. I don't see most Jewish votes for the Dims as a religous counter in any of Judaism's major forms.

That is of course excluding communism, socialism, materialism or secularism as any form of Judaism.

I've asked many Jews if they're afraid of "the Christians" forcing their beliefs on them and they say yes, that's why they stay dims.

I have not seen any better reason for so few Jewish Republicans.

I know that there is an anti-Republican sentiment and living in New York City have seen it first hand. I let a Jewish lady move in and share my office space. Her assistant one day commented that she would not hire someone who was a Republican because she hated them. Then when the new Pope was named, the assistant walked into the office and said, "They just made a Nazi the Pope" and then the woman was on the phone telling her clients the same thing.

I think I had some difficulty dealing with that prejudice and couldn't contain my comments when the woman was saying such on the phone. I was actually amazed at the complete ignorance.

They just took for granted that since I had welcomed them that I couldn't be sympathetic to a Republican perspective or the new pope. Since I never spoke about that stuff, I guess it surprised them.

Of course if Jews are afraid that "the Christians" will force their beliefs on them, then they don't have to worry about that with the Dims. After all, since they are secular that wouldn't happen. There's just one problem. The Left has embraced antisemetic views and will continue to gain speed in that direction.

So there's some irony in the directions blowing in the wind now.

"it is the real reason that more Jews are not Republican".
Most Democrats are Communist's.

Take a good look at post #257

#257

There is Israel's real enemy.
The Communists are behind Iran, Syria, etc.
They were the perpetrator's of the 67 war.
Read this:
The KGB's Man; Moscow turned Arafat into a terrorist.

And this:
The Arafat I Knew; He hasn't changed since his days as a KGB-backed terrorist.

Communism, Socialism, Fascism, Green-ism,
(whatever they are calling it today) is our enemy because it is attempting to take
over the world by force and by proxy through Islamic
terrorism. From there it will enslave us all.
Israel is a target because it is a Democracy and is aligned
With the West to insure it's safety.
We help them, they help us.
The numbskull's in post 57 may believe that by appeasing
their oppressors that they will be left alone.
The truth is that they will only insure their destruction.

LOL, you're a brave soul to go for a late walk at that hour of the night. If it's not mosquito's with West Nile, it's a two stalkers on the loose.   Yep, it's been a scorcher, and not much let up in sight.   My patio faces West and catches the afternoon sun, which is good for about two/five derees more heat.   Anyway, thanks for the chat, and keep cool!

Zeebee,

It was a Jew that wrote the prophecy that Israel would someday recognize Y'shua as Messiah.

No disrespect is intended at all.

In fact, quite the OPPOSITE!

And I find it ridiculous that a lot of Jews are not Republicans because Christians believe in this prophesy written by a Jew about a Jew proclaiming Himself Messiah.

Do they hate this prophesy more than Israel itself????

Your fears seem justified, when one considers how the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon went. It was a big success at first - then it all turned sour. One the problems was the unforeseen consequences - in those days, no one had ever heard of Hezbollah, or imagined that the Shias of the south were capable of making such an organisation.

At the moment, everyone seems to assume that the existing Israeli alliance with the Lebanese Christians will hold. But I do not think it will. The Israelis have been bombing Christian areas quite strongly, and seem to be in a better relationship with the Lebanese Druze.

In the ME, todays friend is tomorrows enemy. One would be very brave to forecast the outcome in Lebanon.

Ultimately, its going to end up as armageddon, so that means they will never implement the only solution that works which is to find these palestinians and hezbollah people a large island somewhere and tell the Israelis to find a way to put them on it (and if you do that, its as good as done.) Put a strict blockade on it for 100 years, and they might just grow to love their little island and leave the rest of the world alone.

The only ones that I know that stay with the Dimwit party are the ones disconnected from everyday life, do not embrace their faith very strongly or simply vote with the Dimwits as their parents have done.

The ones that worry for the future of their faith vote Republican.

Well, to be more specific, some of us believe that the Jews will be justified by their faithfulness to the Law, and at the Judgment after the end of the world will be raised from the dead and judged by that measure. However, it will be Jesus's Jewish Apostles who do the judging under His direction, and as He will be there in His glory it will be indisputable that He is the Messiah and thus it is then He will be accepted. The Jews will have been true to the covenant in Life till the end of the World; they will not have abandoned their special relation with Adonai Elohim.

Don't be surprised if some now jump in here and say I am dead wrong on this, but I have the Word to back up this belief.

And as for disrespect of religious tradition, we Christians don't get any respect for our traditions lately here in America (never seem to make the P.C. cut) and rarely anywhere in the Islamic world, so we are all part of a large disrespected group of believers.

Nothing new in that. We were warned almost 2000 years ago to expect that. :-)

You know, the land you speak of has not only been lived on by Arabs- it is also the ancient land if Israeli's. Is it your opinion that the people of Israel should simply leave Israel?
