Once again, the peace activist, free speech advocating hags from Code Pink stole some of the D.C. Chapter's signs outside Walter Reed.
Last week, we debuted Burma Shave style signs in an effort to inform the public that they should not be fooled into thinking the Code Pink demonstrators at Walter Reed love this country. The signs worked as drivers of cars who honked for our patriotic demonstration at the main gate were markedly less inclined to be fooled by the two American flags displayed by the Pinkos and also honk for them.
The Burma Shave signs were having the same effect tonight, much to the frustration of the Pinkos. Around 8:25 p.m., after the signs had been displayed for about an hour, we saw one of the Pinkos stealing the signs off the roofs of our cars. He tried to throw them over the Walter Reed fence and took off running after he realized he'd been found out. He had stolen three of the four signs, two of which he managed to toss over the fence while the third landed right in front of the fence.
A brief scrum took place as both sides rushed to confront each other. Cooler heads quickly prevailed and tempers defused.
The thief explained his actions by saying our signs are "offensive, they're namecalling, they're disrespectful to our women, alright. And we will not have our women disrespected." (This from a man who stands outside a military hospital with people who routinely call our wounded soldiers killers, murderers and war criminals.)
We informed the Pinkos that our use of the word "hags" was not gender specific. We meant it for their "men" also.
Several officers from Walter Reed security went down and warned the Pinkos not to steal our signs again and to not throw things over the fence on to Walter Reed property.
Nah, not a liberal.....a woman.
My wife has the same view. You're not going to win this no matter what...so just give her what all men do when the wife is bitching and your not listening.

That's sure true. Not sure therefore what about how to slice it and reply but replies have to be AT LEAST as forceful and pointed as the stimulus. imho.
We have been trying over a year to get them to take it somewhere else. When one method does not work you change the plan. Either come out to WR with a new plan or shut up.

Most conservatives I know are people of faith. Are the types of attacks you defend something you would be proud to do in front of your priest, pastor, etc? Is that the type of behavior you would use in front of your mother? Is that the type of behavior you would teach to your kids? No, I'm not the one who should hang my head in shame. Personal attacks are not only bad manners -- they are bad "strategerie".

I have a lot of sympathy for your perspective and am probably on the wrong side of it unnecessarily, too often.

Those were not Sunday morning, afternoon tea sorts of wordings of that era.
Those were very pointed personal attacks. Well earned.
St Paul delivered some pointed personal attacks on occasion, too.
Seems to me, there's a time and a place when calling a spade a spade is overdue and well called for. Now specifically how and when and in what detailed way are other issues.
They won't get away with calling our troops rapists and murderers and war criminals so long as I can get my chubby old self out onto the streets. And if I happen to use a "mean" but very apt name? She can cry me another river.

I realize mileage may vary and this is not a Coulter thread . . . but,
I'm thrilled that Ann is calling a spade a spade and doing it in forceful enough terms to get at least equal air time on the MFM--which is all a lot of folks pay attention to. I don't consider it slander when it's the facts, just the facts, mam.
Of course, Joe Kennedy was part of that "set" in Great Britian and it thankfully ended his "career".
Sadly, he was still left with too much monied power . . . bought one Presidence and almost another.

The plan is fine -- I would simply suggest substituting "Code Pink hags" with "socialists in drag"...or something to that effect. The Burma Shave idea is great. Calling attention to their flag tactic is great. All I'm suggesting is using words that accurately address their actions and who they are, rather than ad hominem attacks. Apparently, the mere suggestion is heresy around here.
Good point about Jesus. I still use the preacher/mother/child rule of thumb. If you wouldn't do it in front of your preacher, mom or child, you probably shouldn't be doing it in public.
Ok -- it is abundantly clear that if people can't even refrain from personal attacks against a conservative who dares to disagree, it is futile to expect them to refrain from personal attacks against liberals. I apologize for daring to think conservatives were above that. I should have known that the "freeper rules" are just for appearance's sake and have absolutely nothing to do with reality.
