In Praise of the First and Second Amendments (in Europe)
The Brussels Journal ^

n a true, totalitarian society such as the old Soviet Union, crime rates are usually low because of the crushing state control of all its citizens. Supposedly, street crime in Moscow in the USSR was rare, probably because the state itself was the biggest criminal. In contrast, in the European Union of today, which is not a totalitarian society, at least not yet, crime rates are booming in major cities. At the same time, authorities are stepping up censorship efforts, openly talking about media “speech codes” and aggressively slapping labels such as “racism” or “xenophobia” on anybody daring to criticize the immigration policies or pointing out the inadequate response to Muslim gang violence.

There is obviously a connection here: The less control the authorities have with Muslims, the more control they want to exercise over non-Muslims. As problems in Europe get worse, which they will, the EU will move in an increasingly repressive direction until it either becomes a true, totalitarian entity or falls apart. This strange mix of powerful censorship of public debate, yet little control over public law and order, has by some been labelled anarcho-tyranny.

Chilling article - I recommend everyone read it.

This “swirl of speech-law charges, lawsuits, and investigations” is now sustained by an “antiracism” industry. “Europe’s speech laws are written and applied in ways that leave activists on the political left free to whitewash crimes of leftist regimes, incite hatred against their domestic bogeymen of the well-to-do, and luridly stereotype their international bogeymen, often with history-distorting falsehoods such as fictitious claims of genocide said to be committed by the United States and Israel. It may be no coincidence that Socialist and extreme-left parties have played central roles in the design of speech laws.”

The Brussels government can only control the sheep who actually pay attention to it. It cannot afford to have an armed citizenry who could not easily be cowed.

It's next step will be to enlist the Muslim underclass into being the enforcers of its will

Europe does seem to have its problems, doesn't it. But then again, how long will it be before people of the white persuasion are in the minority in this country, 10 years?

But it's not going to happen here and there, because someone wants it to happen. Oh no, it is just the inexorable forces of nature. The same forces that steer predominantly raging liberals into the media, all levels of education, and government "service", both here and in Europe. Nothing to see (or perchance, even to look at) here.

Writer Oriana Fallaci has been indicted by a judge in her native Italy for “vilification” of Islam, because of a book she wrote called The Force of Reason. Ms Fallaci states that “Europe is no longer Europe, it is ‘Eurabia,’ a colony of Islam, where the Islamic invasion does not proceed only in a physical sense, but also in a mental and cultural sense. Servility to the invaders has poisoned democracy, with obvious consequences for the freedom of thought, and for the concept itself of liberty.”

- [snip] -

The reason why European authorities are becoming increasingly totalitarian in their censorship efforts is to conceal the fact that they are no longer willing or able to uphold even the most basic security of their citizenry. If their governments are no longer capable of protecting them and their freedom of speech, Europeans may have to arm themselves to do this on their own. Michael Moore’s books, ridiculing American “gun nuts,” are bestsellers in Europe. Sadly, The Bill of Rights is less popular reading. Perhaps the time has come for Europeans to also take a second look at the Second Amendment – The right for the people to keep and bear arms.

The chilling facts in this article are already occuring in America. Thought crimes are being prosecuted and speech is being censored. So-called "hate" crime laws have been written that perpetrate the fraud of protecting minorities, while the real agenda is to limit our 1st Amendment right to free speech. The Campaign Finance Reform Bill's (AKA McCain-Feingold) last remaining clause that has been upheld in the court system is the one that limits our free speech rights 90 days before a federal election and 60 days before a state election. At college campuses across the nation, free speech rights are routinely abridged in order to protect leftist agendas. The students are so indoctrinated in leftist hatred of free speech that anyone presenting views contrary to those of the political left are treated as promoting "hate" speech and banned from campus. Simply reviewing the treatment accorded to the likes of David Horowitz and Ann Coulter at college campuses across the country verifies this attitude.

While the article does much to speak in glowing tones of our 1st and 2nd Amendments, the real fact in the United States is that, in the name of "political correctness", our rights are slowly being eroded and, soon, if we do not act to re-establish those rights, America will soon resemble the Muslim-occupied European landscape. In essence, then, they will have conquered us without firing a shot and using the very freedoms we cherish as the means to dominate us.

Certain parts of "Eurabia" may already be lost; France is a notable example, with others liberally scattered across Europe continent, having given in to the Muslim invasion. In America, we already see places like Detroit, where Muslims have established a solid presence and control the city to the extent that prayer calls are broadcast across the city 5 times a day from the mosques scattered throughout the city. By appeasing the so-called "squeaky wheel" of minorities, instead of enforcing the will of the majority (as in "majority rules"), Amerabia cannot be far behind. The time for pulling our heads out of the sand and realistically evaluating what is happening in our own country is upon us. The Democrats have declared a silent war on America in hopes that, with the permission of the Muslim masters, they may soon return to power. Unfortunately, their arrogant and naive ignorance of the hatred, oppression, murder and slavery of Islam, will make them the first targets of Sharia law. Our time is now; our Republic is in very deep trouble, and our survival is in our hands.

So, let me ask this. When whites become a minority (as everyone keeps telling us it will happen), what then will be the societal impact? Will we then enjoy all the preferential benefits of a minority group? Will companies have quotas for hiring white people? Will lawsuits be filed so as to protect white people from becoming "offended" by non-Western religious practices?

I don't think so, either.

You could take the example of People Republic of South Africa. Or perhaps the productive farmers of Rhod..., oops, Zimbabwe. The Serbs in Kosovo are enjoying the fruits of being once the majority.

Absolutely outstanding article! I highly recommend it to everyone. I'm a little surprised that this originated in Europe, but pleasantly surprised. I wonder if the Euroweenies will read this and reflect on it.

Excellent article and your comments are right on the mark, too.
The money quote is from a Pakistani author, Mohamed Rasoel, who wrote:

"Being offended is sometimes purely a form of aggression."

That describes the Muslims to a T. Also, the minority pimps and the feminist/homosexual cabal. Our idiot politicians are going to apologize the American people into oblivion...oh wait, the 1st and 2nd Amendments trump them every time. If we protect our Constitution, it will protect us. And you're absolutely right. It is in our hands.
