MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich; columnist Robert Novak.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Rice; Richard Haass, Council on Foreign Relations president; Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Rice; Madeleine Albright, former secretary of state; Kerri Strug, Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : White House counselor Dan Bartlett; Israeli Vice Premier Shimon Peres; Imad Moustapha, Syrian ambassador to the U.S.; Sens. Trent Lott, R-Miss., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Mouwafak al-Rubaie, Iraqi national security adviser; Pakistani Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri; space shuttle astronauts.
Dodd longs for the days of diplomacy by "great men" and shuttle diplomacy. Be sure to see Mark Steyn on this. Allen pointing out all of the terrorist acts during the time of the diplomacy by "great men." Allen says we have never gone it alone. He's doing a very good job today, imo.
You mean the President is going to be attending fundraisers for Republicans this summer? Destroying another myth of the DBM that Congressional candidates are running away from him.
Left side, right side.
Dodd says that we are in St. Petersburg at this time, but we are late to this game of building relationships. Wants Condi to go to Israel. Allen very strong in his support for Israel. Says Hez must be disarmed.
I certainly hope Reed loses. He has too much baggage to carry into the general election.
How he could get countries around the world on board during many conflicts
And how he called in all his chips during the 1st Gulf War
Most of the 25,000 are probably Lebanese-Americans who won't be going anywhere. I suspect the true number of evacuees is closer to 5,000 tops, and more than likely considerably less.
This causes me to launch into another manly man rant.
I watch Chrissy because to me, he is the EPITOME of NOT a manly man. Never mind my Blog post, linked above somewhere, about the first requirement of a manly man, take this to the bank, Chris Matthews is exactly the kind of non-manly man who once tried to lead this nation.
Come on, he's a blow-dried egoist who wants to sit around and "talk" about idiots who are trying to kill us. Y'all know what I'm talking about, insert wink here.
So I love to watch the guy as he is so much NOT a manly man and I must marvel that his ilk was once in charge.
And Dan Rather! Dan Rather? Go to hell please but THIS is also the non-manly-man and now this guy is some kind of pundit?
"Courage"...heh, not that Rather even knows the meaning of the word. Or let us not forget his stalker. And of course, there's his infamous Bush guard story.
See, non-manly men tend to attract other non-manly men.
Most every soldier in Iraq has more testerone in his thumb than those jokers have in their entire body.
Disdain, Rather and Matthews have my utter disdain.
Allen has got my vote.
Off to church now.
The lower number has pretty much been confirmed.
Biden has been in the Senate since age 30 or so. He has learned how to make a speech. Sometimes they are even his own. Today, it was Iraq War is lost and we need somebody like him to solve it.
Gingrich thinks were in WW III. Smooth, glib talk about how we should go bomb North Korea. This man is a typical academic--glib, morally superior and believing they have information and knowledge no one else has. A disaster as a President. He should go back to having sex in the office with his favorite aide. Then come back in a more subdued frame of mind and look for an academic job.
The RATS must be getting desperate. Like their namesake expect some to be jumping off the Bush Bashing/anti-War ship soon. Last hurrah for them.
Your 234. Excellent analysis.
I don't think he can, it's as instinctive and formidable as his intellect. Two good things I've learned from his insatiable appetite for attention...he lacks the confidence to wait for time to redeem a decision and he will eat his own to serve himself.
Chamberlain, Lord Halifax, Laval, Daladier, Molotov...
Juan Williams makes NO sense today. According to him, military responses just make the jihadis more angry. I say they make them more dead, which is a good thing.
That is a hilarious political filk... would that make it a pilk? Or maybe it would be a polk song?
In any event, it a riot. Thanks for the link (I assume you're passing this on and Mr. Right isn't another nom de plume?)
It has always amused me to hear Gore, Kerry, et al in their campaign speeches shouting "I'll FIGHT for" this..."I'll FIGHT for" that....But they are always for TALKING to the enemies who want to kill us.
Brookes pointed out that the amount of recent growth in US econmy equals all of China's economy
Good perspective, and given China's growth that is quite impressive. (Capt. Quarters took exception with those figures....says they were exaggerated a bit.) ??? Nonetheless. That's why tax revenues are up.
