My thoughts precisely. I couldn't agree with you more. I read the same Bible and see that the religious leader sitting in Rome will make war and persecute Israel at about the same time Persia is doing it's thing. The only logical conclusion is that the religious leader is the Catholic church. No wonder they deny the Revelation and attempt to allegorize it along with the whole Canon. It's a might bitter pill to swallow when Catholics realize that they have become the apostasy they so decry.
