Israeli gunners cover their ears as an artillery piece fires into southern Lebanon from a position on the border near Kiryat Shmona, northern Israel, Friday, July 14, 2006.
Fox is only one peg above MSNBC when it comes to war coverage or tremendous world events -- tsunami, Katrina, Irag (for first few days) and now this.. CNN already has Anderson Cooper on the ground in Israel.
omg that image is funny! LOL
Show the NEWS, Fox!
I would say in the last 3 hours..not a whole lot...this afternoon, a warship of Israel's was hit by a drone sent by the Hezbollah...I think there are 4 Israeli troops missing.
Then, a little later, we heard that another ship was hit..but that this time it may have been an Egyptian civilian ship...
And we have heard that Hezbollah and Syria have pretty much declared war on Israel..
The talking heads shows...have had on McCain how is in favor of Israel doing its thing..and the US backing them.
We are just waiting for any new news...because it is coming on daylight there now...
There are a lot of links posted on this thread..if you get time later...to all of the dozens of different threads and articles..
BTW, thanks for jumping in so quickly; it wouldn't be an authentic FR military operation daily thread without your help and research.
He just said he's agnostic night-before-last -- of course we all took it in the context of the particular segment which was the idiot that thinks the Bush Administration made up 911.
Otherwise, goodbye!
I so miss Baghdad Bob
FOX ought to hire him to help Alan Colmes out ;O)
Thank you both very much!
How long has it been since you've been in Pearland? We only moved here 19 months ago. Every day there's a dozen new homes or buildings being built - no joke. Explosive growth here.
I was surfing around today, and read that Central Command uses about 2 to 3 million gallons of fuel a day in Iraq and Afghanistan (we apparently supply all allies fuel too)
Then I read Bush sold Israel 210 million gallons of fuel.....
damn
Israeli DM: We'll break Hizb'allah
Peretz says terrorist broke rules, now will be broken
By Ryan Jones
July 14, 2006
Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz Thursday said the Lebanese terror group Hizb'allah had broken the rules of the game by striking a major Israeli population center, and would now pay a price it had not expected.
Following a Hizb'allah missile attack on the coastal city of Haifa, Peretz told reporters:
"We expected Hizb'allah to break the rules and now we are going to break them."
Peretz hinted that Israel would also take action against those regimes that harbor and support Hizb'allah and its terrorist allies.
"All sovereign regimes in the region must know that they too bear responsibility, and we have no intention of letting any element responsible for this crisis off the hook."
The defense minister called on his countrymen to prepare for some difficult days as Israel fights to ensure the future security of the state.
"I say to Israels citizens: We may be in for a number of difficult days, but we must remain strong so that after this period is over we will not be in a position in which Israeli children and citizens are threatened by any element in the Middle East."
Earlier in the day, Peretz got to experience the Hizb'allah threat up close when a meeting he was attending at IDF Northern Command Headquarters was interrupted by a Katyusha barrage in the area. Peretz was whisked away to a safe room under the base.

Oh that's a keeper! I'm stealing it.
Amen
Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare war, stir up the mighty men. Let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, "I am a warrior."
Hasten and come, all you nations round about, gather yourselves there. Bring down thy warriors, O LORD.
Let the nations bestir themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehosh'aphat; for there I will sit to judge all the nations round about.
Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Go in, tread, for the wine press is full. The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.
Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Joel 3:9-14
Somehow, this passage caught my eye today....Nations do seem to be gathering...
It is the symbolism -- just as it was when Katrina hit and instead of going back to DC he went to California and here to Arizona to make speeches.. sometimes the job is all about symbolism.
It's intriguing to try to figure out where all of this fits into God's plan...........though our finite minds can't do it.
Still, we know it IS part of His plan...........and that His hand is on His people in Israel.
It's greatly assuring when the temptation is to be afraid.
It was explosive when I lived there, back in the 90s...left in 99. I suspect I wouldn't recognize it any more!
Some time yesterday...Fox News was getting a report from David Miller ( I think, or Mike Tobin)...and during the whole long report, you could hear the calls to prayers in the background and it was REALLY loud..
I hope no one takes offense...but that would drive me NUTS, if I had to listen to that...every single day..what 6 times??
Those poor guards down in Gitmo should get Purple Hearts for having to listen to that.
