wow! now if they would just stop pandering to the gays.
BTW have owned Ford Mercurys and Lincolns for many years now.
Oy Vey.............
"Oy Vey............."
yeah. call me a hard liner. I haven't forgiven smith and wesson yet either. :-D
That's a valid point. On both my Taurus and my Camry, the powertrains have been flawless. The Camry has suffered suspension issues and a failed halfaxle that wouldn't have been covered by a powertrain warranty, but would have been covered by a basic warranty if it had lasted long enough.
Still, all else being equal, longer powertrain warranties are a good statement of confidence in your products...
A Hyundai has a better warranty, but I guess they are not a "full line" manufacturer, whatever that is.
You should forgive them. It is now owned and run by people who actually care about the 2nd Amendment. The British Control is long gone and it was the British that were behind the HUD agreement with Clinton. It was never signed by the way...
Hyundai and Kia have 100,000 mile warranties.
I had a Saab 9000 CS Turbo's transmission fail at about 140,000 miles. Replaced it with a 2000 Navigator so I could tow my boat.
Kia and Hyundai have 60K bumper to bumper and 100K powertrain.
Some dealers known for being "clymers" getting out of covered repairs because they claim everybody falls under the severe condition driving schedule for maintenance and no one follows the severe condition maintenance schedule.
Re: Kia and Hyundai
I thought if you sold the car the powertrain warranty did transfer but only for 60K miles.
The bumper to bumper warranty does transfer - the extra powertrain warranty on top of that does not (it used to transfer to family members until recently)....
