There have always been IAF F-16s with nukes ready to go at a moment's notice.
There's US B-2's and F-117's with nukes ready to go. There's US ICBM's ready to go. If Bush gave the order, Iran and Syria would be glass by the time the sun comes up in DC
I'm probably considering the possibility simply because I didn't forget 9/11 as so many have done in this country. Plus, being on FR, we tend to pay more attention to what goes on in the world.
I'm hoping it's just a wack-job thought.
CNN reporting buildings hit. Three explosions.
It's just getting started . . .

One killed, 12 wounded as Katyusha rockets hit Nahariya

(snipped)
One person was killed and twelve were wounded - one seriously - when four Hizbullah-fired Katyusha rockets landed in central Nahariya on Thursday morning. A rocket scored a direct hit on a house killing its inhabitant.
Residents of the North were asked to remain in bomb shelters in anticipation of further attacks.
Nahariya is the farthest city Hizbullah has managed to reach thus far.
Meanwhile, IAF fighter jets bombed runways at Beirut International Airport early Thursday morning. It was part of a military campaign which the IDF vowed would be harsh and quick against the Lebanese government and Hizbullah, which killed eight IDF soldiers and kidnapped two others along the northern border on Wednesday.
Al-Jazeera television network reported that 15 people were killed in the airstrike.
The IDF said that the airport was targeted because it was used by Hizbullah to import weapons.
The IAF attack forced the closure of the airport and the diversion of two flights to Cyprus.
Meeting in emergency session late Wednesday, the Cabinet approved IDF plans to target the airport and other strategic infrastructures inside Lebanon including power plants.
Earlier Thursday morning, several Katyusha rockets, fired by Hizbullah from southern Lebanon, landed on an IDF base in Mount Meron on Thursday morning. No one was wounded and no damage was reported. Hizbullah also shelled the Western Galilee with mortars. No one was wounded and no damage was reported. . .

(IsraelNN.com) Tens of longer-range Katyusha rockets have been fired from southern Lebanon into northern Israel.

That flag is an object of beauty.
It's Bomb O'Clock!
I wish that they would set Lebanon back 20 years--or better yet 40 years back when it was a peaceful, Christian majority population.
Before the Muslim holocaust of the Christians. Before they turned the place into a craphole, militant state.
I really fear for my Lebanese Christian friends. They didn't bring any of this upon them.
I like flag.
Iran picked this time, fully expecting the US to get involved in Israel's defense; however, Bush is thus far refusing to step in, probably knowing that Israel is very capable of taking care of itself. Once again, the mad mullahs may have miscalculated.
My fear is that if we don't take out millions of ROPers now we will be forced to take out a hundred million sometime down the road. And that will be after they kill millions of us. They have proven over centuries that they will not change their ways.
I suppose Olmert will solve this problem by ethnically cleansing the heart of the country of Jews.
Great flag design!
