He said no one from the Chattanooga Muslim community had complained.
They will now.

Give me one and I'll show you a picture of it with what would appear to be a large brown stain on it.

---The F-B-I will look into an online video that shows two men shooting a Quran with a military rifle and then leaving the bullet-riddled holy book at a Chattanooga mosque.---
Why? What law was broken? If you shoot up a Bible and drop it off at a church do you think the FBI is going to come looking for you?

The author's profile lists as heroes (quote) "anybody that has killed a muslim or at least tried to kill a muslim." I suspect this is why the FBI is looking into it, not the shot Quran. Of course blaming it on the shot Quran makes a better headline I suppose.

The video shows the man purchasing a Quran at a bookstore, going to a wooded area and shooting the book, then throwing it on the ground outside the door of the Chattanooga Islamic center. Guilty of littering at most.

North Koran or South Koran?
To: keat
5 years in southeast Tennessee and I did not know that Chattanooga had a Mosque. There are at least 2 Lutheran Churches in town, though, so things are a bit progressive.
Honestly, I don't see the crime in shooting the Koran. There may be some kind of misdemeanor harrasment in dropping the book off at the Mosque, though.

And if it were a Bible? Or a U.S. Flag? They would get a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

About that seperation of church and state thingy. I guess the FBI doesn't have much to do these days.

Look for hundreds of desecrated-koran web sites to blossom in the next week or so. Wonder what uses people will find for it.

Hey CAIR, in the US people can desecrate any damn thing they want to as long as it is not the property of someone else.

shooting a Quran with a military rifle and then leaving the bullet-riddled holy book at a Chattanooga mosque. These guys did it the hard way. So they are uncreative and stupid.
Throw a Quran in a bucket and leave in the men's room of a Mexican bar and let nature take it's course:)
In '04 I got a lady friend to load John Kerry toilet paper in a bunch of ladies' rooms and the results were fun to watch from a distance:)
You don't need guns to do this stuff. When AD AF, my buddy and I pulled off some astounding ones in Europe. Only feelings were hurt:) They had the pitchforks out but we were never there to be found:) Well-earned Honorable Discharges for both of us:):):)

If it had been a U.S. flag or Bible it would have been o.k. to do that.
Free speech you know.
However, since it pertains to TRoP, it is a whole different ballgame.

Sounds like someone trying to make things more difficult for our forces in the Middle East. Certainly nothing that a conservative or patriot would do.
Either that or a drunk ahole.
