In the South, folks idiomatically say, "fixin' to", when referring to a future action. Is this "fittin to"...

California-speak?

A sub-normal mentality symptom?

And ...is it the actual words of the victim -- or verbal coloration by "Smith"?

Also, a bunch of "teenagers" gave up "their" female companion to a bunch of college students -- without a protest? Or was that the victim's choice -- at first...?
