Fresno police say as many as 10 men most of them current or former football players at local junior colleges sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl.
Two of the men, Mackey Lee Davis, 20, and Eddie Scott, 19, were arrested Saturday night at the west-central Fresno apartment where the assault allegedly occurred. They face two felony sex charges, including child molestation."

Yeah, but that's TV people for you. They're not required to read and write.
Yeah, I know it happens, but it seems like something that is less related to sex, and more to some sort of male power thing. I can't say I understand it tho, but I wonder, would MOST men do the same thing, or would most men refuse to participate? I suppose it's too much to imagine most men would not only not participate, but try to stop it.
I would like to think the latter, but, I'm not sure.

LOL!! Just look pretty for the camera. :)
Unfortunately, it takes away from the story. And this is a serious and sad one.
That quote came from a resident, of the apartments, Nicole Smith. It didn't come from the girl.
From the article, it was the girlfriend of Eddie Scott who called the police. Scott was arrested as one of the perps.
Bugmenot.com has a workable log in at the present to use to view the article in full.
I was unable to find a description of the victim. Do you have a link? Was that on a TV report?
Strange... no descriptions or pictures of the alleged rapists... /sarcasm
Perhaps I'm naive, but I think most men would refuse to participate. Speaking for myself, I can't imagine sharing a sex partner; moreover, I'm pretty monogamous -- were I not already married, I think my dating would be oriented toward getting married, and again I wouldn't be inclined to share.
Then again, I'm an engineer by inclination as well as career -- I've never been on what you might call the cutting edge of sexuality. So I really can't say what "most" guys would do; all I really know is that, with all of the guys I know, I've never been in a position of even having to make the decision. Perhaps I'm a wet blanket, or maybe the guys I know are birds of a feather, but it's just not a situation I've been in.
I suppose it's too much to imagine most men would not only not participate, but try to stop it.
Again ... I think most guys who'd be inclined to "stop it" would be like me, and not be in the situation to begin with.
That makes sense. I can't imagine any of the guys I know would participate in that sort of thing, but sometimes I think maybe I've led a sheltered life. Thank goodness.

CALIFORNIA JUCO
VICTIM: 11 year old female
PERPS: 10 males, aprx 18-23 yrs old
RACE: Race not mentioned
COLLEGE: Anonymous, junior college
NEWS: Local paper report
ODDITIES: 11 year old confused for 17, race not mentioned
According to the witness, "I feel bad for them. That's just their life thrown away for something that childish."
This is not childish. It's no prank. This is vicious, vile destruction of another human being. This "witness" seems to be a groupie for this mob of alledged criminals--however, it looks as though she believes them to be guilty.

Oh, you know the girl (I mean "woman-child)? How else could you describe the 11 year old thus?
There are so many disgusting aspects about this case, I would not know where to start. If not true, how sad that an eleven year old would have the audacity to make accusations of things she should know nothing about. If true, my disgust knows no bounds.
What the heck is that supposed to mean?
---
It means odds are she will become one. Given she is already a runaway from a group home and what was she doing there to begin with? I am not suggesting, in any way, she is to blame for what happened.
I think my husband (and my sons) would do the same. But sometimes I see this stuff, and I wonder, am I just surrounded by extra special guys, or are these bad ones way outside the norm? I hope they are. But we seem to have dispensed with honor, in great measure.
