True, he reminds me of an idiot who showed up on a thread around St. Patrick's Day, claiming Ireland to be the most anti-American country in Europe - he somehow thought that Irish 60,000 volunteers (his figures, it's closer to 40,000) in WWII weren't good enough!!

That a 23 year old guy got blind stinking drunk is not news ...

That he did it on that country's national birthday in a big blow out party in a park is not news..( and he didn't go out driving drunk)

That he relived him self in public wile blind stinking drunk at a big blow out party in a park is not news...

That he did it on a Veteran monument (that he didn't know it was a Veteran monument at the time) is news...

And that when he found out what he did when he was blind stinking drunk he fessed up and apologized is news...

So let's cut him some slack...

Every nation has its fools. Anyone who pretends otherwise has their head well and truly buried in the sand. Any American who sets out to belittle their naton's traditional friends is no patriot.

It's obvious many of us have had days/nights of way to much to drink. I've promised God on a few occasions, if he got me through the night, I'd never drink again, we get it.

We've all done stupid things drunk, but you'll be hard pressed to find many who have urinated on a war memorial.

Why they shouldn't receive jail time, how's this for an appropriate punishment?

They claim they didn't know it was a memorial. Sentence them to research the memorial, the names on the memorial, the wars these people were associated with. Have them pick some heroic stories the monument represents. Make them write a report on what they've learned.

The next part of the sentence should be for these three to go into schools, elementary on up to explain the kids the historical significance of the memorial. To tell the kids what these people did giving their lives for their country. Have them give respect back to those they urinated on by teaching school age kids respect for the military and those who give their lives in service to their country.
