Has Berzerkly declared itself to be a "sanctuary city" or a "nuclear free zone" yet?

I would, of course, want my son to get out of San Francisco in time, but maybe an 9.0 is the best thing that could happen to the Bay area.

Said Councilwoman Betty Olds, who sponsored the proclamation, "Berkeley is a better place to live now that Cindy Sheehan lives here."

I agree. Just make sure she doesn't leave.

I look forward to hearing Michael Savage's comments on this.

There are some folks talking back to the commies in Berkeley -- as shown at Zombietime from a June 9 "bash Israel" event.

"The council also proclaimed Tuesday "Cindy Sheehan Day in the city of Berkeley," in honor of the anti-war activist who moved here last spring. Said Councilwoman Betty Olds, who sponsored the proclamation, "Berkeley is a better place to live now that Cindy Sheehan lives here."

That is all you ever need to know about Berkeley. They feel that they are better now that a mentally ill woman with media whore behavior has settled there.

I went to school with a woman who now lives in Berkeley. So, I admit that some of my opinion is colored by watching someone from a traditional, Southern, middle-class background move out there and:

1. Renounce her faith.

2. Give up her career to teach yoga workshops.

3. Renounce her parents - doesn't call, doesn't visit. Her kid brother was asking my former classmates if they had heard about her.

Freedom of choice means that people have every right to make stupid choices. From where I sit, the people of that humble lil town have made a series of stupid choices.

Cindy Sheehan Day in the city of Berkeley," in honor of the anti-war activist who moved here last spring.

The folks in Vacaville must be ecstatic.
