Why would we want to take out early someone we can whip in the finals ?

One reason. He got too close in 2004. He's the worst of the worst and still got too close last election. I for one want this man destroyed early so that there is no chance for people to vote for him. I want him to be devastated so that he'll never be able to run again or even think of running again. He shouldn't even be a senator. He shouldn't be representing anyone in any capacity.
To: stockstrader
I'm convinced. I am going to vote for John Kerry after I vote against him.

I agree. It's really scary to think that he actually came close to getting elected!! If Ohio had gone the other way (and it was close), Kerry would now be President.

I agree with you. I can't believe this bozo came so close to being President. What were people thinking?

I agree with most of it, but I would rather defeat again someone we allready have the guns lined up at. Kerry has not repaired any of the damage done from the last scrap - we know where his weakness is.
In my opinion the Clintons are the worst of the worst, and they have won the battles against us, and would have wider coattails.
I'd rather fight a loser.
But we are both looking at the same goal, my FRiend.

Uh, thinkers did not vote for him.
It was the "feelers" and "emoters". Sadly, there are a great many of them.
