Benedict Arnold sacrificed more for this country than Kerry and Murtha combined.
Bingo! And Benedict Arnold never did as much damage as Fake Purple Heart Kerry or ABSCAM Murtha!
History is greatly influenced by geography.
He is a traitor here and a hero somewhere else.
Also by who tells the story.

Actually it`s time to throw politics aside and bring back the Sedition act, both of them from 1798 and 1918. I`m sorry, but there is a line and `rats like Kerry and Murtha don`t cross it, they stomp right over it and keep stomping right over it and they are putting this country in danger as well as our vets. Enough is enough already. If the likes of Kerry and Murtha want to keep doing so, then fine. Let them put on cheerleading skirts and dance in front of Bin laden. But they do it here, lock the bastards up.
I used to have a bumper sticker that said that. I took it off after Kerry lost.
bttt
He was for the Colonials before he was against them.
Okay, I gotta ask...What's the monument to Benedict Arnold's leg about?
Murtha is a veteran. Whatever good he may have done as a veteran was erased when he made baseless, vicious attacks on our Marines in Iraq.
Kerry is a veteran. Whatever good he may have done as a veteran was erased when he made baseless, vicious attacks on his fellow troops in Vietnam.
The Jersey Girls (Girls? Girls are supposed to be fun. These people are more like the Jersey Witches) lost their husbands in a terrorist attack. Whatever sympathy they may have deserved for their loss was erased when they exploited their husbands' deaths to promote an anti-American, pro-terrorist, Bush-bashing agenda and to gain glory and praise for themselves.
And yet, there are some people on this site who call themselves "conservative," yet oppose any criticism of these liberals. It's amusing to see those people attack Ann Coulter for name-calling, and then turn around and call her a whole bunch of nasty names.
I've been to this monument several times (lived in Schuylerville, NY near Saratoga battlefield for years). It is off the beaten path and had no sign to announce its presence. You have to go off the main tourist route and down a little trail to get to it.
Much like the Confederacy I guess, difference being, Arnold was a traitor, and the Southerners weren't.

In 1779 he was court-martialed because of disputes with civil authorities. He was cleared of all except minor charges and was reprimanded by Washington; nevertheless he was given (1780) command of West Point. He had already begun a treasonable correspondence with Sir Henry Clinton in New York City, and now arranged to betray West Point in exchange for a British commission and money. The plot was discovered with the capture of John André, but Arnold escaped. In 1781, in the British service, he led two savage raidsagainst Virginia and against New London, Conn.before going into exile in England and Canada, where he was generally scorned and unrewarded.
The only monument to him is unmarked and off by itself in the woods at Saratoga. He was quite a fighter before he sold out to the British
What is it about Clinton's and treason?
