"The Austrian president gave a very heartfelt and fairly impassioned defense of the USA in response to that question"

Good

"It was some snivelling European reporter who asked it, along with poll numbers."

Typical - but where's the surprise?

Finally - did I read this right - there's a big brouhaha over Guantanamo but they don't want the inmates sent back to their own countries because they might face torture????!!!!!!

This world is so crazy that, yes, you read it right and that's really what it meant. I'm not sure what we're supposed to do with these people if the tender-hearted left doesn't even want them going back to their home countries. Personally, I don't think they should be tried in US courts - if they get a trial at all, it should be before a military tribunal. Followed by execution. But that ain't gonna happen, I'm afraid.

I think we should find the address or at least the town where the family of the person at the press conference in Austria who asked the question and send the inmates at Gitmo there. His family can entertain them while he continues to make an ass of himself pretending to be a journalist on the road.
