Rooterman did finish 8th last week (no laps led), though I don't know if the car he had was one of MWR's or FitzBradshaw's old chassis. One thing's for sure; Gilliland's crew sure can build engines.

If rain were a concern, I would've mentioned that Stuntman, Hubert, Bad Ash, Gilliland the Giant Slayer and Boris Barinov were in Sirius trouble. As for Fellows and Kvapil, the story is that PPI and Furniture Row (who Kvapil's driving for this weekend) are now essentially the same team, and that both cars were prepared identially by one of the guys behind the dominant Corvette Racing.

I read in the local paper that Randy Lajoie will be driving for Harvick in a upcoming Busch race?

Hey dude.

I was over in Santa Rosa loading yesterday and it was starting to cook. I'm betting the weekend will be an oven at the track.

Yup, That track temp is going to be HUGH!

I'm looking at 98 here right now, supposedly it will have cooled down a bit by Sunday,, the Trucks and Busch are lucky and will be running in Milwaukee this weekend.

Lucky is right; the forecast is still low-to-mid 70s.

Changes in the AT&T 250 entry list: Justin Diercks is out, Chris Horn of Cedar Rapids, IA in the #158 Horn Auto Racing Chevy owned by Fred Horn is in. That still leaves the field 3 short of 43.

Sunday forecast for Sonoma is 97 and mostly sunny.

Weather.Com says it hit 108 today.

Low speeds, mean little cool air. The race is going to be brutal, even to just watch!

You'd think if this great nation could build the national defense highways into today's interstates, they could build infrastructure to secure our nation. heck, how about trebuchets... every fifty feet... around the perimeter. Hey... you don't belong here?? fine... sprongggggggg

nevermind.

Thank you. Cool article Pete.

Cool link! I just watched 'Modern Marvels' on Hist.Ch. last night about the Autobahn, and they talked about, and showed footage of the Eisenhower system. He wanted to build it after seeing the Autobahn when we invaded Germany. He credited easier troop movement to the use of the Autobahn. His system was much cheaper. The thickness of the concrete was the main reason it was cheaper.

"Let the American youth never forget, that they possess a noble inheritance, bought by the toils, and sufferings, and blood of their ancestors; and capacity, if wisely improved, and faithfully guarded, of transmitting to their latest posterity all the substantial blessings of life, the peaceful enjoyment of liberty, property, religion, and independence."

Hearing how popular the NASCAR video games & PC games are, I just ordered a Nascar 2005 Simulator Racing for PC and Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel.

I'm normally not a gamer, but I can't wait for this stuff to arrive.

Love to hear any feed back about Nascar PC software.

I went to the ER Monday for flu like symptoms and they took a blood sample and a stool sample. I just called for the results and she told me the coroner would call me back? I think that's what she said...
