Then this perception needs to change. I don't think it is all just coming from the electorate though. Most groups of people are easily led. The stupid, the inept, the incompetent.
There has got to be a way to get this country back on track.

A conservative president (Reagan) beat Mondale with 54% of the vote in NY. Thats right, but that was 1984, and a democratic mayor wasn't exactly backing mondale, and NYC did not want to go back to the horrible memories of Jimmy Carter.
The odds of that happening again, are slim and none, and someone buried slim off staten island.
A complete unknown (Pataki) beat Cuomo.
Pataki beat Cuomo, a conservative did not win that race.
Pataki actually ran as a tax cutting pro-abortion, pro-gun contol (which played into his tough on crime persona) against Cuomo.
In a sad bit of irony, Cuomo and (with one exception) issues and viewpoints, are pretty much now the same as Patakis.
Reagan was a conservative, but every other republican that has held either statewide office in NY or mayorial office in NYC, to call them conservative, would be beyond a stretch (hell, I can name several democratic governors right now who might be considered to conserivative for New York).

Rudy is a Democrat for all cases except for fiscal issues. Rudy is even for cut and run when it comes to Iraq.

hey had to put one Republican on the list to make it "fair and balanced". Could be, but in the case of DeWhiner, it's true.

New York, Massachusetts, and California--the liberal, smelly, hairy, unwashed armpits of the nation.
Which confirms where the liberal's power is concentrated - the left and right coast (northeast section).

1.Charles Schumer (D.-N.Y.)
That's the same schumer who yelled; "Long live our socialist revolution!", at a DNC meeting, right?
Yes, he is a traitor.

This coming from the tiny leftist state of WASHINGTON????? As liberal, smelly, unwashed, and hairy as they come. Hey, I'll admit that WA is a smelly liberal cesspool, too. But, our two moronic senators didn't make the list--yours did. Oh, and if it weren't for court-enabled chronic 'Rat election fraud, we'd have a real conservative governor here.

Good evening.
"Hey, I'll admit that WA is a smelly liberal cesspool, too.'
LOL. It's true. It's OK, though, OK, you get over it.
I think most of the blue state's Senators want our guns. Probably a large number of the ones from red states, too.
While I agree that Washington has problems with electoral fraud, I think the real problems lies in the dense population of King County.
Wherever there are large populations, there are liberal gun grabber
California has two of those concentrations, LA and SF, so we get Babs and DiFi. DiFi has her CCW. I don't know about Ms Boxer.
Sucks, eh. Make sure all your friends vote.

As a 42 year resident of Washington I DO NOT take umbrage at your statement. Here's a quote from Senator Patty Murray that was in the Yakima newspaper circa 1992-1993. I'm paraphrasing a bit, but am accurate in essence. "I think that people should have guns if they have a good reason. I haven't heard a good reason yet."

Brooklynites don't have the balls to defend themselves? I DARE you to go break into a persons apartment on Eastern Pkwy or on Pitkin Ave!!! Them 'brothers' down there would whoop your sorry NJ arse back over the VZ bridge and outer-bridge so hard your great great grandparents would feel it!

The brothers in Central Brooklyn are one thing. The douchebags in Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Williamsburg, and Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens are who I had in mind.
But I forgot, those areas are satellites of Manhattan, aka p-ssy central.

Here's a question that you can throw at any politician who quacks about taking your weapons.
Q:"Senator, only two types of people fear an armed, honest citizenry. Criminals and tyrants. Which one are you, sir?"
To: Clemenza
You are 100% right.. The areas you mentioned are all satelite areas on manhattan. Most of those areas are yuppies who cant afford the upper east side. Yes, they are loaded with limp wristed p-ssies.
