Oh, come on, it's obviously some kind of joke. It's not like she was at a serious awards ceremony or something and climbed up on top of a piano uninvited.
She's no more a journalist than she is a singer, but for a woman her age she looks darned good. The basic architecture of her face is excellent. And again, for a woman in her fifties she has a nice figure. At least she's not fat and sloppy.
She will be 60 on August 20.
We know it was a joke. But it was a badly conceived, VERY badly executed joke. What a horrendous singing voice. Apparently the bit was rehearsed, but it was too much bother for her to take a singing lesson. The fact that the woman looks fine is hardly an excuse to make a spectacle of herself on national t.v.
And what about the weird reference to how little she and Maury got paid? Apparently, she was willing to work for low pay because she was desperate to recuscitate her career. Why bring the money up now, even in jest?
BTW, Maury Povich is a man who is willing to make a very good living off of people who are at their lowest point, mentally, morally and emotionally, and willing to demonstrate it to the world. He has no journalistic credibility whatsoever. And yet Connie sings, "My Maury...what a guy!". Yuk.
