I'm a car buff, and the 2CV has a distinctive greenhouse (the glass and superstructure above the beltline of the car).
They are also notorious for being European road hazards that can't get out of their own way (grossly underpowered aircooled engine making between 9 and 33hp) and can't handle for crap. One was made (in)famous in the Bond picture, "For Your Eyes Only." (The one in that picture was actually multiple cars, as they would self-destruct with alarming regularity.)

I should also mention that it's the butt of many, many, many automotive jokes. It also is the symbol for the French automotive industry for the outside world, more or less.

"I should also mention that it's the butt of many, many, many automotive jokes. It also is the symbol for the French automotive industry for the outside world, more or less." After looking at your link, you took the thoughts right out of my mind. Thanks - I think. [Mr] T

Thanks - But it will take a lot to out do the "Great Shredding Episode".
How is Columbia going? Haven't seen anything in the last few weeks. Planning your next big surprise for the moonbats?

Thanks to you both. About to call it a day. I've never been so stuffed in my life. [Mrs] T made a big flank steak and 3 types of fried shrimp. Then lemon meringue pie - 2 pieces!!
It was great today.
Take care.

That's great!! I see our Guy came with a 'fist full of dollars'. Wasn't there a movie by that name?
I needed a good laugh this afternoon after a hot sweaty day in the field.
The moonbats would have made a mint off of Doctor Raoul, BufordP, BMWcyle, Spiff and Jimmy Valentines Brother.

They were packed up and GONE by 4:20 today.I kind of laughed at the 4:20 reference. That is stoner's code. The significance is 4-20 is Jerry Garcia's birthday.

That is a laugh.
Looks like they knew of the 4-20 reference though.
I've never heard of it before. FR is a more enlightening forum than some thought!!

Ugh! Sadly, I live three miles South of that intersection. This is a liberal nut-job bastion.

To: 69ConvertibleFirebird
Hey Firebird, haven't heard from you for a while. Not since the October Debate at Sherwood.
But this is different. Any chance of coming out on an occasional bases to show support of the troops? Sure could use some more locals. There is a definite correlation between the positive responses of passing cars and our numbers.
It also seems that non-FReepers stop by more often when our numbers are larger. Just trying to build some momentum.

Great FReep and report!
What is the route from American Legion Bridge? (It may be some time before I can use it and join you as I want to.)

BufordP did a great job in enhancing my directions below:
http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.015783,-77.144237&spn=0.014538,0.023732&t=h&om=0 Take Wash. Beltway to I-270 Spur North towards Frederick.
http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.060416,-77.148571&spn=0.014529,0.023732&t=h&om=0 Take Exit 4, Montrose Ave., East. Be sure you quickly get into right lane when you merge with I-270 proper. When you get on exit, stay in left lane and take Tower Oaks Blvd. turn off. **(If you miss this exit turn off, go onto Montrose Road and make immediate left at light onto Tower Oaks Blvd)** Follow left turn off to Tower Oaks Blvd. (light), turn left. At next light, Wooten Parkway, turn right.
http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.076509,-77.132735&spn=0.014526,0.023732&t=h&om=0 Stay on Wooten Parkway,
http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.084705,-77.129431&spn=0.014524,0.023732&t=h&om=0 which turns into First Street then Norbeck Road, but at all times it is MD Rte. 28 after you go under railroad/Metro tracks, for approximately 5 1/2 miles to Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97.
http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.109451,-77.08025&spn=0.014519,0.023732&t=h&om=0 Make left, North, onto Georgia Avenue and go 3 miles to Olney.
http://maps.google.com/?ll=39.152644,-77.067826&spn=0.007255,0.011866&t=h&om=0 Make left, West, onto Olney-Laytonsville Road, MD Rte. 108, and make first left into shopping center. Park next to Popeye's and we are right there.

Great report, great pics, and great FREEP! I really applaud your perseverance in outdoing the moonbats at every turn - just wish I could be with you but it's a long drive from California. Keep up the good work!
