Wait! What about the inalienable right to destroy your neighbors' property value?

I try not to wiggle too much in front of curtainless windows.

How about hanging nothing in the window? One glimpse of my fat naked butt and you'll be begging for me to hang up newspapers to block the view.

So now the city can dictate what goes on inside the privacy of your own home?

just a follow-up to the decision that if a cop can see a crime being committed inside your home, they can walk in no-knock, no warrant. town is just making it easier to see inside.

Are their jails that empty? Someone must own stock in a home decor company.

I can think of some evil deeds for which people should be locked up but aren't.

Many people who work the night shift need to make the room they sleep in as close to totally dark as possible to get any sleep at all-and miniblinds, curtains , even (so called) blackout drapes don't cut it. However unattractive heavy cardboard, blankets, and black trash bags may be, they are a godsend for at least some night shift workers-especially those unlucky enough not to have a basement to sleep in. I feel for these people if this ruling stands.

Next to be banned are:
Flamingos,
garden gnomes,
plastic out of season flowers around the mailbox,
neon plastic eggs hanging from tree limbs at easter,
the plywood cutouts of dogs, men, old ladies,
the bottoms of egg cartons cut out and made into flowers on the spikes of Adams Needles,
frogs with umbrellas in birdbaths.....

Maybe this town, in its perfection, has no sick people so there are no nurses, lab techs, etc who have to work nights at the hospitals, and of course no crime so no police officers, and everybody gets everything they need from 9-5 so there's no need for stores to be open all night.

When my daughter worked nights at FedEx she had put tin foil in the windows to black out her room in the day. The neighbors probably thought we had a nut case living with us.

'Violators will receive warnings and could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.'

Can they do that? I think I would tell them to kiss my a$$!

I'm taking bets as to when they'll start banning wallpaper coverings deemed too ugly or carpets that don't meet the city code for proper color and density.

Well, some prisons today contract with interior decorators so your room may have nice curtains.

First thing I would do is find Curtains designed to look like newspapers --- and they would be in every window. And then I would invite the entire Euclid city council to collectively kiss my hairy white arse.

blackout drapes don't cut it.

I worked a 12 hr night shift for 14 years. I bought several yards of blackout fabric and tacked it up over the window. Worked great and looked like a curtain from outside. It was even good for keeping out the drafts!
