Some Democrats, breaking ranks from their leadership, today said the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq was a stunt to divert attention from an unpopular and hopeless war.
"This is just to cover Bush's [rear] so he doesn't have to answer" for Iraqi civilians being killed by the U.S. military and his own sagging poll numbers, said Rep. Pete Stark, California Democrat. "Iraq is still a mess -- get out."

They pulled the same crap right before the 2004 election, when Osama released that tape. The Dims all but said that Karl Rove had him chained up in the White House basement, and turned him loose to make a tape whenever the GOP needed a poll boost. Of course, John Kerry (who served in Vietnam) and his wife Tah-raise-a took the bait (and OBL's side), like the idiots they are. I was reading about this in Super Stretch's book "Strategery", and when I read the details of all the Dims' dirty tricks, I wanted to find Mapes and Rather and shove a red hot poker up their arses.

"And for our next trick, we'll be making a terrorist... disappear!"
Only to reappear in a slightly damaged, inanimate state! Kinda like the saw trick gone horribly wrong. Oh, dear! Where's the other half of your assistant?
We had to show the photos of Zarqawi's corpse in the media not to dispel rumors of his survival originating from the Middle East but the Far Left.

Lots of good quotes for using in the fall elections and in 2008. Worst bunch of Maroons I've ever seen. Talk about stepping on it with golf spikes.

Of course, John Kerry (who served in Vietnam)...
I think of all the "Kerry/Edwards '04" stickers that I see on a daily basis and thank God that that man is not president, although this apparently newfangled claim about him serving in the Vietnam War may change things.

The Kook wing has spoken.. They have a non kook wing? A few isolated individuals, like Zell Miller maybe LIeberman, sure, but I don't think they've got a squadron or even a flight of non kooks. An element here or there maybe.

And how should we expect the Demorats to act when their number three man has been removed.

I think we should continually remind the Demorats like this:
This just in, Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead! And so is Al-Zarqawi!!

And now the Kook wing paints their leadership into a corner. Their leadership is in the kook wing, big time.

I'm as surprised as you are. Apparently the Bush-lied-kids-died, "revenue enhancement," terrorist sympathizing, military bashing, abortion uber alles, hide our agenda in phrases and cliches like "move forward" and "build bridges" wing is facing an upstart.

I sent an e-mail to that old fool Stsrk, urging him in the most civilized way to keep up the good work of driving the dems into obscurity. I mentioned that his efforts will go far in convincing the American people that democrats can't be trusted to hold our car keys, let alone protect us from terrorism.

It's been a very tough day for them. It's been a couple of tough days for them, starting with the failure of their "culture of corruption" game plan in San Diego (and thanks, Busby, for urging illegals to vote), and continuing with the failure of their socialized pre-school funded by "the rich" elsewhere in California. Don't know when I've enjoyed an election more. Well, 11/04 was more fun.

Well, I hate to admit it, but the RATS do have a valid point this time: This stunt was pulled right in time for the Presidential election! Hmmmm...
