but the Jersey Girls statements seem to be a relatively small part of the book, and the statements excerpted really don't relate to the actual subject of the book.

You make your point, though perhaps unwittingly.

Coulter includes gratutious swipes at people so she can sell books. She dragged in the Jersey Girls for a headline, even though they have nothing to do with the subject of her book.

That's the way Coulter works.

You said, in part: Coulter includes gratutious swipes at people so she can sell books. She dragged in the Jersey Girls for a headline, even though they have nothing to do with the subject of her book.

I agree. Coulter is an author. She is in business to sell books. Any benefit to the conservative cause is icing on the cake, any detriment to the conservative cause is spit on that cake. She doesn't care. She is in it for the cake, just as are most politicians. The postions they take, with a sad few exceptions, are taken in order to benefit politically. Those who take positions based solely on their convictions are difficult to find, often because they lose elections. This is true of dems and republicans, and is certainly true of the "Jersey Girls."
