RIGHTY WRITER COULTER HURLS NASTY GIBES AT 9/11 GALS [the "Godless" counter-attack begins]

.

June 7, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - Conservative rabble-rouser Ann Coulter created an uproar among 9/11 victims' families yesterday after she charged in her new book that a group of "self-obsessed" politically active widows are enjoying their husbands' deaths.

The razor-tongued blond polemicist made unflattering remarks about the high-profile widows who liked to call themselves the "Jersey girls." In Coulter's latest book, "Godless," she calls them "harpies" and the "Witches of East Brunswick."

Sinkspur: If Annie were a supporter of legalized faggotry or various other perversions, instead of being a magnificent provocateur on behalf of normality, a supporter of the United States, conservatism, the war, and having the brass that our politicians lack to tell the unvarnished truth, I bet she would get more of a Kumbaya from certain circles, even some which agree with her on war.

Oh, and if you and I and most other FReepers could manage to marry, I bet Ann will have no difficulty if and when she decides that the time has come. If she prefers to remain single, despite the loss to the male half of the human race, that is AT LEAST as much her business as any decision by Lance and Bruce to massacre nature and morality.

AND, she is right about the Witches of East Brunswick. Their fifteen minutes is up. Maybe if you had lived in the northeast, you would be more familiar with this particular windtunnel social phenomenon (the Kristen Notsobreitweisers trolling for the unnatural extension of their fifteen minutes of notoriety because they imagine that 9/11 is all about them and constitutes a permanent credential). It is long past time for Kristen and her comrades to sit down and shut up. No one, but no one, cares about the lust for publicity of these aging left-wing drama queens of the New Jersey hunt country shamelessly exploiting their dead husbands to propagandize their irrelevant public policy perversions and prescriptions. They say they have suffered. Maybe! We have certainly suffered them.

Time for them to, ummmm, MOVE ON.

Sincerely,

Annie's low class and mean (and darn proud of it!) fan

Black Elk

Coulterite (since knowing her older brother John 35 years ago).

P.S. If she ever makes the full commitment to be a Catholic, I would love to see her go after John Allen and the National antiCatholic Reporter.

I use to listen to Alan Keyes on the radio before he jumped the shark. He would do the same thing. Let the libs talk themselves out then walk them step-by-step through their argument. Until they got to the point where they knew if they answered honestly, it would destroy their argument and belief. They would then balk and go right back to the talking points.

I have come to the conclusion there is no persuading these people. I enjoy reading Mark Steyn. I enjoy reading and listening to Charles Krauthammer. I think Sean Hannity does good things for the troops. I enjoy listening and reading Rush, Oliver North, and others. I also enjoy reading and listening to Ann Coulter. I admire her burn-her-bridges and take no prisoners style. I have never met her and chances may be she may be what you say, someone who is never satisfied with anyone. I have met and spoken with people who have met her and I am told she is very pleasent.

What I do not understand about you - and other's like you on FR - is if you do not like her, then why get on a thread like this and voice your complaints? I have had conversations with you before and you come off condenscending to those you reply to. The vast majority of those on FR who like AC also like the one's you listed.

JLAGRAYFOX:

Assuming for the sake of argument that the Witches of East Brunswick WERE Jewish, which I believe they are NOT, their putative Jewishness would have nothing whatever to do with their being airhead leftist publicity whores trading on their husbands' deaths for their fifteen minutes of ill-gotten and ill-used fame.

Whiny (to the nth degree) suburban leftist northeastern bimbos are not despised only by Muslims. People with common sense also despise them and go into auto-rant in response to the witches' brainless hatred of all that is right and good and true. No one (not even their husbands) died and left them in charge of our society. They should stifle.

Be honest now. If the Witches of East Brunswick were not exploiting the deaths of their husbands, would you know who they are???? Would you give a fiddler's damn who they are???? Would we be talking about them? Personally, my take on them is that I cannot remember a single sincere word of regret or sorrow out of any of them just a lot of PMS against Bush and the US. We got along without them before we met them. We'll gat along without them now.

We should declare a truce on this evolution baloney.

Those who want to believe that they are descended (and I do mean descended) from apes may well be right. They provide a lot of evidence to prove that apes ain't what they used to be (although as Annie points out, any actual missing link remains quite elusive despite the best efforts of 150 years of atheists (descended from Darwin at least ideologically).

Non-liberals are descended from Adam and Eve who were created by God. It was in all the Bibles.

Also, some of those who believe that they are descended from apes believe that, in spite of the Venona Papers, the late Senator Joseph (fighting Joe) McCarthy was somehow factually wrong. They believe neither in Joe McCarthy nor in the very files of the KGB (the Venona Papers) which confirm his truth but they believe that apes were their ancestors. May well be on the last point at least as to themselves!

The Jersey Girls have definitely been given way more attention than they deserve. I dilike them immensely and their media enablers.

I just can't say that they are happy that their husbands are dead, I believe that this is probably untrue, and is a criticism that reduced the credibility of all the other true statements that Ann makes.

Once someone is considered uncredible, then every thing they say is either distrusted or ignored. That is my only point.

Actually, Garry Wills went away long before they did and, even compared to Sobran, for far better reasons.

Clearly you need to be convinced. Maybe, you won't be convinced. In either event, life will go on.

Because lurkers who might be thinking of joining in the fun here should know that they can, even if they think Coulter is a bomb-thrower, and not be accused of being a troll, as happened early in this thread.

Medved argues the conservative side persuasively by taking apart the arguments of liberals who call in.

Michael is a very talented radio host with an informative show, but one cannot say with a straight face that his domestic positions are in any way conservative.

I resent the implication that many of us that don't appreciate Ann's style are somehow ignorant of polemics. I am quite familiar with Orwell. I LOVE good rhetoric (I tend to be a drama queen...er..king myself). Like I've said before, it's good ENTERTAINMENT.

However, it's not good politics in today's society. I KNOW y'all live to have your daily battles with the Kos's of the world - let's face it, many treat it like a game. Serve, volley, serve, volley. Many here are just the other side of the DU coin. They live for the fight. Good for 'em.

They can pretend all they want that the mushy middle doesn't count, that soccer moms don't turn elections. Fine.

I've got seven words for them:

Pat Buchanan. "Religious War". President Bill Clinton.
