Didn't they recently announce that the investigation found no wrongdoing? The Marines were under fire and returned fire; eventually having to call in air support, which is what caused the civilian casualties. Where did I hear that?

to answer your question, Marines were found innocent of wrong doing in another incident, in another city, not Haditha (sp)

but back to this event, I wonder why this budding journalist didn't get shot by the Marines? I mean, if they were shooting everyone in sight, you'd think they would get this guy too.

That was about another incident. There was collateral damage from the air strike they called in - but the Marines were absolved from committing any crime.

Yes, but that was a different incident. Geez, the VC and NVs didn't have near the press savvy of these terrorists, and look what they managed to accomplish.

We really need to find a "tough guy" (or gal) for the 2008 elections. Otherwise we'll see helicopter evacuating our embassy staff, and a few of those Iraqis who've tried to build their country, from roofs in Baghdad and Basra, at minimum.

But unlike the VC and NVs, these folks won't leave us alone, they'll be coming for us here, at time when we're weakened militarily (as we always are after a war, win or lose), especially if the Democrats are in control of both Houses of Congress, or either, and/or the White House.
