The Talk Shows
Sunday, June 4th, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice; Sens. Jack Reed, D-R.I., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del.; former U.N. chief weapons inspector Hans Blix.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Former Vice President Al Gore; author John Updike.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Rice; Blix; Sens. George Allen, R-Va., and Carl Levin, D-Mich.
Actually, he is doing a good job. Says making a policy statement with this event does a disservice to the 99% of people who have done a good job. Says things happen in every war, but the test is how we deal with it and that it isn't our national policy. Says we will deal with this the way we have for 200 years, under the rule of law, and that the Marines are innocent until proven guilty.
I'm surprised Murtha's not on the talk shows again this week, blathering on again about "cold-blooded killings."
Sure did. And, he appears to be hell bent on proving my hypothesis ;-)
Wallace: "In abu grab we had blah blah blah... here we have... alledgedly... the murder of blah blah blah... isn't this more damaging"
Yes Chris.. the alledged murder is more damaging than abu grab becuase you want it to be.
Morning! What's with this Blix blitz?

Message: Leave Iran alone, you mean Americans!
Lindsey being in JAG is only surpassed by learning John Kerry served in Vietnam. I tend to actually like Graham but he sometimes does seem to let his current job go to his head.
Graham was the first person I ever heard use the terminology of "at the end of the day." After he said that during the Clinton impeachment I caught a bunch of others saying the same thing.
Lindsay is not doing that bad. He is swatting the "talking points" questions right back at Chris.
Good answers so far.
Why is Reed on? Murtha had to be out somewhere bashing the military and gave Reed all his talking points I guess.
I think that Murtha is being held in a padded room this weekend.
LOL :^D
Biden demands resignations every few months. He's become the little boy who cried wolf, IMHO.
Basra was NEVER "peaceful" it was just under Iranian influence, which the Brits were more than happy to allow, as long as they kept things quiet.
Recently Iran has been 'activating' some of them, to diminish the 'negotiations' (ugh) at the UN, and the strength of the US hand.
BASRA WAS NEVER PEACEFUL.
Whose resignation does Biden want this week?
Wallace is again echoing the MSM the War is going bad and getting worse rant...Sickening
Graham says that every institution of deocracy in Iraq is under attack. He is explaining the difficulty in getting a minister of interior and defense.
I like your thinking, Biden,Hagel,Mccain,Schumer, etc seem like what they call Susan Estrich on Fox. She is called a fox news Consultant and is paid something, Biden,McHagel, etc should be called a Meet the Press, or This Week, or fill in the blank Consultant they are on so much. There is nothing they can say that is different, that we have not heard from them. Watching them is like watching old reruns of Andy Griffith, or Lucy Show, or in Hagel,Biden's case Gilligan's Island. You can almost give their lines for them before they say them. One big difference is those shows were entertaining and these Political prostitutes are insulting and make you turn the TV off. They are boring and anti American.
We have become like the old Pravda watchers...you have to figure out what's going on by seeing who is NOT present on the shows and reading subtle signs, much like tea leaves.

Exactly so! We have to train ourselves to hear the faint echo, the mirror image, or the negative of what IS being addressed. One example: Every time a "crisis" fades from view, we must notice and ask why. Often it is because the "crisis" was a fraud or a lie.
He's not. Worse, Graham isn't much of a mouthpiece for SC.
LOL, very good -- that is exactly where Murtha belongs. I think Graham is doing an a-ok job today; even Reed. Neither of them are condeming our troops, and both are stating tht the investigation needs to be completed. Reed however, does agree with the cut and run strategy, Graham does not. Panel coming up -- I'm betting there will be a big time slap down of Juan this morning, as I expect Juan to claim Murtha is a hero, and Brit to roll his eyes, say oh please, and then.....slap down.
I could understand that approach if it got him anywhere, but I don't think his friendliness to them is in any way reciprocated aside from the a few favorable comparisons with other conservatives like Rush--- never with liberals--- made by the MSM.
