I think all talkers have their moods at times and might be coming up on a break and just get silly, or mean. Levin had a woman caller last month who's mother liked his music and he snapped and asked her if he should set up a web site just so she could download it for her enjoyment.
Listening to Savage tell his experience at the restaurant and the surrounding area, I find it hard to imagine how Savage manages to keep his sanity as his passion and intense outlook on things stays with him all the time.
I guess his only source of relief is his boating and the 3 hours of venting on the show.
